Welcome.... This is a thread created for January 2014 Broward College students and others who are interested in there ADN program. We all have so many questions and concerns about the program.
We are 7-8 months away from sitting in the first class of the January 2014 nursing program. What have you been doing to prepare for this? What pre-req's do you have left to take? What inspired you to become a nurse? Is BC your first school of chose? Are there any other programs your interested in?
Don't be shy. Don't lurk. Share your thoughts.
Hello everyone! I will be attending the nursing program in Jan '14 and I'm really nervous. I still haven't decided if I will be attending South or Central. I have friends in the program on both campuses, but I feel I need more opinions to make up my mind. How many of you will be at Central or South?

I'm not entirely sure which campus I'm going to choose but I'm kinda leaning towards central
So far: CENTRAL: Broward General, Memorial Pembroke, Cleveland clinic, Westside Regional (from what I can remember) I'm asking my classmates. SOUTH: so far my bf has only gone to Memorial Regional and Memorial West. Idk about NorthI'm also leaning a little more towards Central. Do you know what hospitals each campus is affiliated with?

It's my first semester here at central campus. The program is not easy, but doable if you put enough effort into it. Practice your math skills, read the fundamentals book (Potter/Perry) and practice your return demo skills. You need to put an equal effort on reading and practicing skills. I have seen people doing great in theory class, but failed the return demo. I have heard bad things about central campus too, but if you really want this as a career path just do your best and do not fall behind on your reading and skills. The fundamental success book as a supplement also helps me to increase my critical thinking ability.
