'As Healthy and Beautiful as Ever': Jahi McMath's Mother Posts New Photo of Teen Declared Brain-Dead 2 Years Ago - The Root
Apparently Jahi is doing great after two years of brain death - photos prove it? I thought this was over with!

Also- it APPEARS that her lower lip has been pierced and has a stud in it.This is so incredibly awful.
This is so incredibly awful.
It's her thick, thick, THICK lip gloss.

For ANY OTHER post, I'd make a crack about parabens. But this child's situation is too sad to make such a comment.

A standard issue hospital type baby blanket covering her trach and the vent tubing.
A baby blanket that was stolen from the hospital I bet! The horror!
I'll do it. Something something parabens. Thats probably the real reason her surgery went so wrong.

It is insulting to referring to a child's life as "You thought this was over with". That is a Child of God. Not sure if you just don't care or making references to her condition. Either way you don't know who might be affected by this child's current condition.
The Comments are very rude and people have no idea who are apart of this child's life.

This child is dead and the only rude and sick people are those keeping her corpse ventilated

"That" (interesting that, in posting to criticize others here for not being caring enough, you refer to her as a "that" rather than a "she") was a Child of God two years ago. Since then, she is just a cadaver that is being maintained. I feel sorry for the family members and their loss, but the situation is grotesque.

I have had to make the decision they are refusing to make. It is sad. It is awful. But refusing to face it brings up all sorts of other sad and awful. Thankfully Jahi isn't actually there. Jahi is dead and passed on to God. That is just her shell they are abusing. Not Jahi.

I understand that this is a difficult decision for the family to make. It is a tough decision that no parents should be ask to make. But, Jahi is dead. It is time to let her go so the family can mourn and grieve properly.
At this point in time, Jahi is nothing but a body, a shell, a corpse. It is no good to anyone, least of all Jahi, to be maintaining her cadaver. Just because we have the medical equipment to maintain her, doesn't mean it's the appropriate thing to do. It is not a question of "Can we?" but one of "Should we?". Sadly, the family is choosing "We can" instead of "We shouldn't". Jahi will never wake up, will never get better, and she is only going to slowly deteriorate over time.
I do hope the family will come to this understanding and let her go.
I had a very brief moment in which I also considered the "paraben issue" as well.
Can't help it. The nurses caring for her also did not have the professional countenance of pageant contestants and the docs' beards and hair were not well-oiled and groomed to the standards of those who demonstrate competence through aesthetic greatness. Or, it was that one with the scalp acne.
