I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?
I am still waiting for a letter from Columbus. Has anyone received a letter from Columbus? I assume they will come next week. Anyone taking micro over the summer?
Congrats to the ladies that have recieved their letters.
Regarding the online classes....I hated them. Thought they were a lot more work. I just took ENG 111 in Franklin and it was super easy. Actually way too easy. I didn't really even try.
Thanks Coltsgirl, I am in Logansport so about 90 minutes from Indy. it would be quite a drive but I will keep it in mind. Is it just walk in? Our HD requires an appointment and they are booked until the end of July. My appt. is July 30th.Does anyone know how long you have to wait in between the MMR shots? If my appointment is not until July 30 and I have to wait a month in between I wouldn't have the second one done before first day of class. I know it says the 1st hep has to be done before the 1st day of class but my paper doesn't say about the MMR I'm wondering if both MMR shots have to be completed before 1st day.
I'm going to see what my dr. charges. I have an HSA account that I can use. But my insurance I do not think will cover it.
Also, my HD only offers TB tests once a month for $4 which is a great deal but, I can't do it since it has to be a two step test. So I guess I will have to pay what the dr. charges for that too
I just had a regular TB test like 4 months ago for work. dang it!
Oh well, I don't mind that much, afterall I'm thrilled to be going to nursing school:yeah:So, I guess I will figure out a way to pay for whatever needs to be done :)
No, I didn't need an appointment...and as far as the MMR, you only need one shot for that one. The hep B is 1 shot, then 30 days later another shot, then 6 months after that another shot. The TB test is 1 shot, get it read within 48 hours (literally, NOT 49!!!) then get another TB test in a week, and get it read within 48 hours. Fun, huh?? (and btw, I don't live in Marion County either, and that wasn't a problem, so you should be good to go) And dont forget the tetorifice shot!!!!
I went to the dr. yesterday for my physical and got my tetorifice shot and 1st TB test done. I get the TB test read tomorrow. I'm getting my hep shots done at work since they are free. But, the nurse there is out on medical leave. She is suppose to be back the 2nd of June.
I was reading in another thread that some people are opting to get vaccines that are not required. (meningitis, and anthrax)
What do you think? I think it's a good idea, bt I'm not sure I will.
Colt, my fingers are crossed that the letters go out today.
Still no letter from Indy!!! :hngon:but the lady in the office said she was "hoping" to get them out today!!!! but "no promises"
Guess this means I don't have to start the serious mailman stalking until tomorrow. I wonder if he carries pepper spray for crazy students too....or just crazy dogs. LOL
Thanks for the update!!
