Ivy Tech Thread

U.S.A. Indiana

Published

I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?

I thought I would start a post for us Ivy techers to post our acceptance letters.

I just got mine a few minutes ago! I'm going to start the PT ASN class in Logansport. I'm thrilled.

feel free to share your news so we can celebrate together!!!!

I'm still waiting for mine in Indy. :)

my congratulation smiles didn't attach ---- anyway, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Ivy Tech for a year so I am not bashing them...but here is my routine when I log onto allnurses.com I check out the home page and see what is new, then I click over to the forums 1st year nursing tab, then I go to specialty since I am a new ICU nurse. Then sometimes I will bop over to the students section since my heart is still with those who still have NCLEX to take--Lord if I could only help them realize the anxiety is worse than the actual test...then I move to the left and click on region to see what is new in my home state of Indiana!!! and all I see is Ivy Tech stuff...it is getting kind of old. Are there any nurses out there who are working in Indiana? If so where are your hanging out???

I have never been to another states posting---maybe they are all school related, and it seems as if you Ivy Tech folks give each other Tons of support and help so I dont want you to miss out on that, I guess I was just hoping there would be more information on nursing in Indiana...or even from different schools, I know Indiana has more nurses vs just those that graduate from Ivy Tech---I saw a post about St.Elizabeth and got all excited thinking I would learn something about that school, but that post was short lived.

So come on all you practicing nurses and IU/Ball state/USF/Huntington college folks...chime in once and awhile...

oh well...I will keep popping in from time to time...

I was not told that about math111 by my counselor, thanks for the heads up!!! I'll check it out.

Just thought I'd pass it along. She just said they were taking it off the curriculum as of now, but would honor it for a certain period of time for students who'd already taken it. It sounded like they were still working out the exact details with the dean or whatever but I just thought I'd pass it on.

Thanks for raising this racing moma, to try to keep all Ivy tech threads together I am going to create a sticky and ask for all members to keep Ivy Tech posts in that thread.

Congrats! I'm still waiting for mine in Richmond, and I'm afraid it may be awhile since the admissions person is out on sick leave. But I'm very HAPPY FOR YOU that your wait is over!

I am definitely not excited about the fact that they are cutting MAT 111 and 112 :( I had been planning on taking 111. The other ones don't interest me at all...and I suck at geometry! I was also surprised to hear that they have summer breaks for the ASN program, I thought we would go straight through (and that actually was what I was counting on!).

Woohoo!! I just got my acceptance letter for Ivy Tech South Bend! I'm so excited, I had to share!
