I know we still have some time but I imagine a majority of us are taking or have taken the TEAS and are getting ready to get ready for the Spring 2020 application period !! Just thought I could give us a spot to chat, I know I have used the older threads from other years to help me prepare as well!
I take my TEAS (first time) Monday! What is everyone else up to?!

Well, I am still a bit confused about that. I asked Mindy, and she said we need to reserve a spot so they know how many people are coming and if not enough people reserve a spot they will cancel it, but when I looked on the nursing section it says to just show up, so I contacted Michelle and left a message asking which is correct. Hopefully, she will get back to me soon, and I can let you know what she says ?

Thank you! Yeah, I was going off the website, but I just felt that it was odd to not have to RSVP.

Michelle just called me back and said we don't really need to RSVP we can just show up. She said to go to the 53rd street campus and go to the front desk and they will direct us where to go ?

I bet you'll be perfectly okay online with it! If I could do it in the summer, online (and finish with an A) I KNOW anyone can do it!!
Ugh yeah I tried to take micro last semester, but it wasnt offered online so I took aphy 102 and chem, and then ultimately decided on Advanced physiology because I have heard that i will need it for the BSN later, and i do plan to bridge so i plan to get it out of the way plus I figure it will help in the program too. Unfortunately I could not find it online and my advisor said it isn't online, so my last class (hopefully, if I dont end up re taking psych 101) will be my first time back on campus since 2011 ?
And I don't know how common it is for everyone to get the Co reqs done, but I know it's the last thing I want to be worried about in the program!! I could not imagine trying to take aphy 102 or chem while being worried about actual nursing classes ??
So funny thing... I know I told you I was debating on taking the Advanced Physiology because you informed me about needing it for the BSN later and I was starting to think it would be a good idea for me to just do it now and get it done... well my credits finally transferred through to Ivy Tech and apparently I have already taken an Advanced Physiology class at Ball State and it transferred to Ivy Tech as the APHY 201 (Advanced Human Physiology) class. I was surprised because I didn't know it was going to transfer like that.
To anyone who has already submitted their application:
The nursing handbook says a copy of our high school transcript must be submitted with our application, but does it need to be an official copy or just any copy that we have? Can we take a picture of the transcript and attach it as a file? Also if we start the application, can we make changes to it later before submitting it? I'm too afraid to start it and then not be able to complete it right away. I don't want to submit it yet, but I wanted to start it. Is this possible?

Yes, you can start and stop! I'm not sure about any copy or what, I scanned and uploaded the copy I received in the mail from my high school. Even if you mess it up, you are allowed to delete you entire application and start a new one too. The file attachments I believe were jpg, pdf and another.

Haha that's awesome!!! Well, one more thing you can cross off your list ?

Hey, did you attend the nursing info session? Just wanted to see if you went and if so, if you got any good information about it. Did they mention what was a good score to shoot for when applying?
Did they happen to mention getting an extra 5 points for having CNA? I do not have a CNA, so just curious if that will hurt my chances or not.
