I know we still have some time but I imagine a majority of us are taking or have taken the TEAS and are getting ready to get ready for the Spring 2020 application period !! Just thought I could give us a spot to chat, I know I have used the older threads from other years to help me prepare as well!
I take my TEAS (first time) Monday! What is everyone else up to?!

I did not realize there were extra points for a CNA. I do not have that either, but I'll let you know how it goes after next Friday.
I have heard you get an extra 5 points if you have your CNA. I honestly don't think they will outright say what a good score to try for is but I am aiming for 130. I highly suggest joining the Indiana Community College Nursing Program page on Facebook. Each semester when people are applying they post their score and it is a good way to compare how your score will hold up. Personally, I think you have a great score and I wouldn't worry at all about the extra 5 points from the CNA because most people have trouble just getting their score to 130. The Facebook page has past scores from people and what program they were accepted into under the files. These are the scores for the past 3 years for East central Indiana that have been posted, it includes Anderson, Marion, New Castle, and Muncie.

Hey there! I am in that group. I went through the files, there just isn't a lot of scores from people applying specifically for the Anderson campus. I did not go back as far as you did though. Thanks for compiling those! That does help! ?

Yes, this does help seeing all the scores together! I think that's the fb page I joined, but I haven't went through all the files. I'm wondering how many of those scores have the 5 points from being a CNA. I'm trying not to worry about it too much. One of the advisors I spoke with said that the Anderson location isn't as competitive as some of the others.

Have you seen a file yet for this spring?? I keep looking (and obsessing a little lol) but dont see one for spring 2020 yet!

I'll have to check again.
Idk why I care, my husband laughs at me for even looking at old scores, and I cant imagine EVERY person applying is even in the group to share their scores anyway but seeing SOME of what I'm up against helps a little lol

I completely agree! It is nice to see at least some scores! It gives us a little idea of what to expect. Without scores to compare with, it would have drove me crazy wondering.

Heeeey!! Which campus are you applying to?? I also have a 119! Well if we get technical its 119.7 but I put all my eggs in the ASN basket with consideration for LPN.
I have seen others with our score get in in the Spring, but the campus definitely makes a difference on what scores MIGHT make it and which just wont. Best of luck to you!!

I was going to do ASN for Anderson and New Castle, then PN for Muncie since I live here. But I did not want the same thing to happen this go around where I applied for both then got rejected then someone got in with a lower score than me since they only applied for one program . So I just decided to apply PN for Muncie and Indianapolis!
