Ivy Tech Spring 2020 Hopefuls

I know we still have some time but I imagine a majority of us are taking or have taken the TEAS and are getting ready to get ready for the Spring 2020 application period !! Just thought I could give us a spot to chat, I know I have used the older threads from other years to help me prepare as well!

I take my TEAS (first time) Monday! What is everyone else up to?!

Hi everyone. I’m planning to apply to Lawrence this Spring. I took the TEAS yesterday and have a total score of 142. I’m nervous and can’t wait until the selection process is over!

Hey!! That's a GREAT score!!

I cannot wait until it's over too lol I just want to KNOW so i can know what to do next haha

Yes, it's all the same as your regular ivy tech sign in but I saved the direct link on my phone home screen. There is the option to cancel the application still too or to cancel it to change it and it also updated with an FYI saying that the first round starts September 8th and you will know by September 22nd if you have been accepted or not. I didnt think it would change either, but then I thought well maybe I should check it to make sure they dont need something different as far as the transcripts go. It's nice though, random stuff to look at on there for sure lol

Hey! Just giving you an update on the nursing information session. So the session was pretty much just going through the PowerPoint that can be accessed online. The lady who went through everything with us (only 2 of us, Sarah and I) was an OB professor there at Ivy Tech. She was able to answer some of our questions and took us on a tour of the facility. It was really neat to see how they had everything set up like an actual hospital.

Nice! Thanks for the update! Did they happen to mention what was a good score to shoot for when applying for the program?? Did you like the facility there? Did the professor seem nice? Any other good info she shared with you?

Hey everyone, looks like they added the Spring 2020 document on the FB group. Unfortunately there isn't much data yet ? but I got the ball rolling for the Fort Wayne campus!

My transcripts were accepted finallt after reasubmittong them and now my application is complete and ready to be reviewed! September needs to hurry!!

Yaaaay!! I just finally got my vaccine records today! It looks like I'll be needing the TB test and ill have to ask about chicken pox. I've seen some people say I can just get the titters done for that and some that said you HAVE to get the vaccines? I did NOT get them as a child (didnt realize this until today lol) so idk if immunity is enough from bloodwork or not.

Seeing your score now makes me really not want to post mine hahaha you are definitely in!!! Did you say this was your first round applying?

Your score is so good (that's why I asked!) Thought maybe you had tried in the fall and then went back and improved but that's even more awesome this is just how it is lol

I hope so too, i still dont feel incredibly discouraged but it would be awesome to get in this round and have a friend already ?
