I know we still have some time but I imagine a majority of us are taking or have taken the TEAS and are getting ready to get ready for the Spring 2020 application period !! Just thought I could give us a spot to chat, I know I have used the older threads from other years to help me prepare as well!
I take my TEAS (first time) Monday! What is everyone else up to?!

Let's go September!!
I still wonder though, I know selections usually start on Saturday but the 8th us a sunday?! How will that work do you think
Hmmm. I'm really not sure. Maybe they will just do it on that Sunday. Are the first round selections done by a computer?

I dont even know what to do to keep myself busy anymore lol
I tried buying books today for next semester and other than that I'm going a little nuts. I just want to know or not know, you know?! ?
Hahaha! I'm glad I'm not the only one going crazy with this wait! I complete understand how you feel!

I feel silly because I knew this is how it would be but gosh. I've been trying to read and find as much as I can about what the first semester is like. Still trying to not freak out about managing it with kids ?
I also saw, and wonder do you know if it's TRUE, that they dont accept any TEAS scores after AUG 18th?? Not that it matters to me but I always assumed that you could go right up to the last day and apply with them.

An OB professor at the Anderson campus said that she thinks they have the AUG 18th date listed because in the past some applicants were waiting too long to take the TEAS test and the scores were not getting recorded into the system before the deadline of the application (SEPT 1st). I think it is a risk to take the TEAS test after AUG 18th, but I don't think it means that they won't accept the score if it happens to get processed in time. The OB professor didn't realize they even had that date listed on the website until it was brought up in an information session that I had attended. She seemed like it was a new thing. Previously, they would just always suggest to everyone applying to have the TEAS test done a couple weeks before the application deadline. But with all this said, I can't say 100% that some campuses or all campuses won't cut off TEAS test scores from coming in after that date. Personally, I wouldn't risk it, unless it was the 2nd time I was taking the TEAS test and I had a test already showing up for the application. I hope this helps! ?

Oooo thanks! Again, it doesnt really pertain to me anyway, I am WAY too paranoid a person to even think about waiting that long but I thought it was interesting because I know I have seen some who try a last minute retake so I just wondered! I would be way way too scared to try lol

Right, same with me! I thought you had already applied, so I figured you were talking just in general. I'm a mess as it is with this wait. I'm not risky enough to wait until the last minute to take the test. ?

Yes exactly the same for me too lol TOO RISKY haha
So, more blabbing to just pass the time, have you heard what colors your scrubs are yet?? I got excited because I saw in the group a year ago that they were steel grey at my campus and I was like omg yay, because grey or black would be perfect, I would be terrified to have to wear white!! Although I know it could be different at mine now, but that would be awesome.

Oh gray would be awesome! I'm pretty sure Anderson has tan tops and green bottoms for first semester and then it goes to green tops and green bottoms (and maybe white coat) after that. I'm really hoping white shoes too, but I'm not sure about that yet. I feel like there will be more options.?For graduation, Anderson had everyone wear all white. I'm going to try to find used white ones to buy from someone since I think it's just white for that day.

That's awesome! My friend was in the program, south bend or valpo I think and they also wore all white. I wonder if that's tradition?! I didn't think about shoes yet though aghh. I have seen all white and all black as options though. I have also seen a green coat too, and some with patches and some that dont need them lol!!
I wonder what kind of shoes students usually wear, I feel like most nurses wear those clog like shoes and I wonder if they are better than sneakers..
