I know we still have some time but I imagine a majority of us are taking or have taken the TEAS and are getting ready to get ready for the Spring 2020 application period !! Just thought I could give us a spot to chat, I know I have used the older threads from other years to help me prepare as well!
I take my TEAS (first time) Monday! What is everyone else up to?!

Hi! Good luck to you too! Have you already applied this time around? So how does that work if you apply to both? I guess I'm just not sure how they take someone with a lower score. Is it because they review the lpn only applicants first?

If you apply for LPN only then you are looked at BEFORE those that did ASN with PN consideration.

Yes I finished my application today ! So if you apply for ASN with Pn consideration , you're put in the pool for ASN for the 3 computer rounds . If you do not get selected in those 3 computer rounds, and if they have PN spots available they will offer those last seats to those who had the next highest scores. For me I applied for Anderson's PN program and once manual rounds came , I saw on in the Facebook group someone got in with a lower score and from what the dean told me the girl got picked over me because she picked Anderson as her 1st choice and chose it 2nd.

Oh gotcha! So what someone chooses as their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd matters also, especially since some locations have more seats available. Is this correct?

I haven't applied yet, but hopefully I will this weekend. I didn't even realize there was a status on there that would change, so now I know to keep an eye on it after I apply! Do you just sign in to the application to check the status?

Yes, it's all the same as your regular ivy tech sign in but I saved the direct link on my phone home screen. There is the option to cancel the application still too or to cancel it to change it and it also updated with an FYI saying that the first round starts September 8th and you will know by September 22nd if you have been accepted or not. I didnt think it would change either, but then I thought well maybe I should check it to make sure they dont need something different as far as the transcripts go. It's nice though, random stuff to look at on there for sure lol

From what I have seen and read that was a smart decision!! I feel like those are some of the most competitive with a high amount of applicants!! I am SURE you've got this this time around!!
