U.S.A. Indiana

Published

This is the "Not In" thread, or for anyone that's planning on applying for Spring Semester by the Sept 1st deadline.

We need love too! :loveya:

My Boring Stats:

A's in prereq's except ANP 2...taking that class now.

Horribly embarrassing TEAS at 76, still have two more tries. (Which is why I'm taking math and phys sci this summer. lol)

Hope to get into the Bloomington or Terre Haute programs. (Yay! Greene county gets region pts at both. lol)

Currently frazzling myself out with 5 online classes

It's nice to meet you....whoever you are....

They knew I was a student and I still had to pay the full amount...

Specializes in ICU.

davilyn: That sounds really scary. I wonder who you should or can talk to about that.

JM625: :(. I wonder if you have to be particularly adamant about receiving a discount or something. Also, one person I talked to who worked with the MCHD told me about the $10 flat fee + $35 per Hep B shot, while another person who worked there didn't know anything about them (she was also working on a day the clinic was closed, which was the excuse she gave for being unsure of discounts/rates, though). :/ I'm sorry.

Specializes in Neurology.

Well that stinks, I was also told by Marion County I would only have to pay $10.

It sounds like everyone is off and running to get everything done. I have an dr's appointment tomorrow so I'm hoping to get as much done as possible. I think I will try to get my tb test done at the health department so I don't have to drive all the way to my dr's office to get the results read and have the 2nd one taken. We have to wait until later this week to get our password for the background check and drug screen. Although I have never committed a crime I always get nervous about background checks. Don't know why. I just hope I can get everything done without any issues.

Got my first step of my TB and it was negative! My background check and drug screen came back fine, too. I still have to get my Hep B, MMR booster, 2nd step for TB, and have my chidhood records retrieved to prove I had chicken pox, and that should be it. Whew!

Has anyone tried to find other scrub pants yet? I haven't even been by the bookstore to grab the uniform. I just wonder if the color is hard to match-up with other stores?? I guess I'll have to head over there soon to check everything out.

I'm not sure what the official color is, but I believe the brand name is Landau. That brand is sold on various internet sites but yeah, we'd have to find out the official color name first, and the style.

I think I have to get mine from the bookstore--oh and they are pleated--I am going to look like I am pregnant. Anyways, I feel like I am half way there..one more TB next week and then my CPR on 12/12 (for only $20)--oh yeah:) We are getting close guys!

Pleated scrubs?? I didn't know they even made those!! yikes

Yeah me neither---not good...not good at all..with a princess cut white/green top

That sounds like the tops we have at Indy. Princess seamed/cut, with button front, small pointy collar, and green stripes around the sleeve hems.

Yes...so not flattering--I look ill in green...Columbus has it easy with hunter green LPN and blue RN scrubs

Yes...so not flattering--I look ill in green...Columbus has it easy with hunter green LPN and blue RN scrubs

I'm starting the ASN in Columbus in January. LPN & ASN both have the hunter green scrubs.

I'm very thankful we don't have to wear white....

Hope everyone is having success completing all the necessary items!
