U.S.A. Indiana

Published

This is the "Not In" thread, or for anyone that's planning on applying for Spring Semester by the Sept 1st deadline.

We need love too! :loveya:

My Boring Stats:

A's in prereq's except ANP 2...taking that class now.

Horribly embarrassing TEAS at 76, still have two more tries. (Which is why I'm taking math and phys sci this summer. lol)

Hope to get into the Bloomington or Terre Haute programs. (Yay! Greene county gets region pts at both. lol)

Currently frazzling myself out with 5 online classes

It's nice to meet you....whoever you are....

Sunny, so what schedule did you get?

Davilyn....That's so CRAZY! You should just go to the nursing office and ask them to explain it to you in person. That way, they can't blow you off over the phone and you'll get a straight answer. It's ridiculous to not have anything this late in the game. I know it takes time to organize all of these schedules, but it's been 3 weeks since we all got ours, so they should at least be able to say, "We realize you don't have a schedule, and here's why..."

I'm so sorry--you must be feeling really frustrated. Hopefully you can get some answers SOON. Good luck!

Well..a little progress..they said they will have it by Monday. COME ON MONDAY!

Hey guys, question. Were you able to use immunization records from high school that were handwritten in? I have my form that came from the health department, but my mom wrote in all the dates and whatnot. Wanna make sure before I think I am in the clear :)

Kgle, we were told at orientation that the handwritten ones from the health department were fine for the Indy program.

Okay so now I'm wondering something. . . do we have to have the forms signed by a practitioner for the specific immunizations (the ones we got at orientation) AND turn in written immun. records? I guess I was thinking that as long as we get the forms signed with either dates of shots or titer results on the form we received at orientation, that would be good. Do we have to turn in copies of the actual records as well?

Hmmm... Good Question. I am getting their paper signed by everyone, but am also creating a folder with all of the documentation from the health department, immediate care, etc. to turn in. I bet either would be fine.

Are we suppose to have gotten anything back after doing drugscreen/background check. I did both a few weeks ago and thought all results go directly to the school and that was it on our part. Anyone know for sure if we were to be mailed copy of results as well ? I haven't heard back regarding the result of it. Anyone else? Just wandering cause on bottom of the yellow form (from Indy orientation) it says to turn in results for drug screen/background check by January 7 along with copies of rest of our paperwork so it got me wandering about this.

You can get your results from the certified background website, you just enter the code that you received with your confirmation. The results can take a while to post, mine took almost 3 full weeks. I printed the report turn in, but you would think that they would get results also.

Hmmm, I don't know the answer to that. I assumed that Ivy Tech would get results from the Certified Background place, but maybe not? It wouldn't hurt to go to the website, enter your password, and access your report and print it off and turn them in at orientation.

I wonder if the nursing smocks require ironing every time you wash them. . . I looked at them again today but all they had were XS and XL. I hope they actually get them in when they said they were going to.

Hey Kim I just noticed that your age rolled over to 40 (and mine rolled over to 41!). Happy Belated Birthday! You share a b-day with my 10-yr old son. Mine was Monday the 30th.
