This is the "Not In" thread, or for anyone that's planning on applying for Spring Semester by the Sept 1st deadline.
We need love too! :loveya:
My Boring Stats:
A's in prereq's except ANP 2...taking that class now.
Horribly embarrassing TEAS at 76, still have two more tries. (Which is why I'm taking math and phys sci this summer. lol)
Hope to get into the Bloomington or Terre Haute programs. (Yay! Greene county gets region pts at both. lol)
Currently frazzling myself out with 5 online classes
It's nice to meet you....whoever you are....
There are still about 18 spots left to get officially scheduled, unfortunately Sunny must be one of them! None of the Hendricks clinicals have been scheduled yet. I wonder what on earth is the holdup. I feel badly for you Sunny!
In case anyone is interested, I looked at the publisher's website for most of the nursing books for Indy (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins) and it shows that the Brunner & Suddarth Med-Surg textbook will have a new 12th ed. in December, and also the Focus on Pharmacology by Karch will have a new 5th ed. in December. I would assume the bundles will have the new editions. I am piecing my books together though so I guess I will wait on those two. Oh also there is now a Nursing 2010 Drug Handbook out there, and a 9th ed. of Pagana & Pagana/Mosby's Diagnostic and Test Reference book. The list showed older editions.
No I don't plan to get the bundle. If there truly is something in there that I cannot purchase somewhere else, I'll figure something out then but for now I think I can get everything online. I don't have financial aid to use through the bookstore, so I want to get my stuff as cheaply as possible.
I'm with you Chris--I pieced everything together on Amazon (even the CD-ROMs) for somewhere around $300. I will probably do that (even though it takes more leg work) instead of getting the Ivy Tech bundle. I'm not using financial aid either, so it makes sense to save the money if I can!
I am not looking forward to picking up the uniform from the bookstore--it really sounds awful. I guess I'll just have to get over it! I really wish we could all just wear plain old scrubs--even if it meant we had to have "BEWARE: STUDENT NURSE" in huge yellow letters all over it! hahaha! At least they would fit and would be comfy!

Is that new? I always thought it was blue for RN. It really doesn't matter..I think I would wear bubble wrap if it meant being an RN
