  1. Yes... I was working on our objectives for the project :) OK, that's a lie, I was playing on the XBox! LOL
  2. Can you guys believe that it has been a year?
  3. Curious as to what the "common sense" factor is and what "types" of students you feel should not be accepted?
  4. Per other member's posts, it took a 211 to get in at Indy for this Fall's RN program. Spring is usually less competitive, but I would take the test again to be on the safe side.
  5. I suppose the weighting of the points won't make a difference, for Indy anyway. A 4.0 is a 4.0.. Right?? Or am I misunderstanding something? In the less competitive areas I am sure it could make a difference for some. I like that they have dropped the area points, although that may hurt some local students in less competitive areas. I know plenty of Indy students may be willing to drive wherever it takes. While it increases the quality of the student, it may not follow what a community college is supposed to be about. Hmm, should be interesting to see the feedback on this for sure!
  6. I was just getting ready to ask the same question :) Thanks for the link!
  7. Indianapolis is working on making Summer mandatory, all but around 10 students went straight through. While it would have been nice to have the Summer off, OB/Peds was extremely intense, I couldn't imagine having to take the class coming off of a break. Too much knowledge lost. Keep up the great attitudes everyone!
  8. What he said :) Best of luck to everyone, you're in for one heck of a ride. Enjoy the rest of your Summer!
  9. First semester is almost done, phew! I am ready for the break, even if it is only a few weeks. I wish everyone the best for finals and hope that you all get some relaxation in over break!
  10. Looks like we have the same lecture Anne, with MT clinical here as well. It is going to be strange for all of us to get mixed up, seems like we are finally learning each others names. Grats on the competency! Crossing my fingers that tomorrow will be successful for the rest of us.
  11. I hope so much that it goes better for you next week. There is so much to learn, cut yourself some slack and hang in there! I think we are all feeling a bit unprepared. I know that before too long however, we will be old pros :) My day went well, had a lovely patient and nurse. Not looking forward to doing the care plan this weekend, but I know it will help me in the future. Hope everyone else had a good experience!
  12. You copy and paste folks are making me jealous! :)
  13. *suddenly has instructor envy* JK :) They are all different, it really is just a matter of making whoever you have happy I guess.
  14. Yes, they all certainly do it differently! You know, I don't recall her saying we had to cite the sources when writing them. She did mention copying word for word would be the big P. So... these cards really stink LOL
  15. Thanks for the heads up on the site BTW! It rocks!
