This is the "Not In" thread, or for anyone that's planning on applying for Spring Semester by the Sept 1st deadline.
We need love too! :loveya:
My Boring Stats:
A's in prereq's except ANP 2...taking that class now.
Horribly embarrassing TEAS at 76, still have two more tries. (Which is why I'm taking math and phys sci this summer. lol)
Hope to get into the Bloomington or Terre Haute programs. (Yay! Greene county gets region pts at both. lol)
Currently frazzling myself out with 5 online classes
It's nice to meet you....whoever you are....
I think you (crazylife), Leen, Carlos, and I will have our lectures/labs together and then you two will have clinicals together and Carlos and I will have clinical together.
Carlos there is another lady in my physio class that got B schedule with Hancock clinical, so that's one more person I know. She is really nice.

Cool. I am nervous about going to class. I have done everything online thus far. Did you ever ask them about switching sections if you had someone to switch with.
Has anyone ordered those shoes that were mentioned in a few threads back? They look really comfy...just trying to decide whether to order from that site or not.
I ordered the shoes and I like them so far. They have a different "feel" then any other shoe I have. Very substantial and unbending. Definitely a "work" shoe. They only thing I don't like about them is they lack good air flow because they are tight around the top. I could see my feet getting hot. They were slightly discolored on the heal and I almost returned them but, decided against it because most of it washed off. I suppose I will have to reserve true judgment on them until I stand in them for a full day, but so far so good.
I just went to my neighbor's house who graduated a year ago from Ivy Tech RN program. She gave me the Fundamentals textbook off the list (albeit one edition older), the set of CDs to go with it, and a dosage calc book for free! I offerred to pay her and she refused saying she was so happy to do it and that she is so excited for me to be starting the program. Wasn't that so nice of her? I will have to get her a gift card or something to say thank you. I think I'll try this Fundamentals book and see how it goes before buying the newest edition. It seems that so often people say that newer editions are not that much different than the older one. The dosage calc book is not the same one that is on the list, but dosage calc is dosage calc, it's all just math. . . she said that it's possible though that they will want us to rip out and turn in pages from the one on the list, but to wait and see about that before buying the one from the list.
Oh and she also had clinicals at Hancock and said she liked it there, since it is a smaller hospital and the nurses all seemed friendly and willing to help students.
SHOES! Oh how I love a reason to buy yet another pair of shoes...lol Okay so I might sound awful--but I donot want to wear ugly nursing shoes..so when the said athletic shoes as long as they are white--I got excited! Here's the shoes I think I am going to order....

Here are the shoes I ordered. I liked the large number of reviews they had gotten that were very very positive.

Leen,
Can't wait to meet ya in our clinicals :) I'm already getting a little nervous about them. Westview Hospital is over by West 38th street and Guion Rd I think.
