  1. That's a good idea Chris. I'll ask around next week. If I do have to just stick with it, I'll also have that other 1 credit class down too. I wonder how they do things in 8 weeks. I go all day M, T, W, and half day R. I hope I have enough time to get all the work done by the time it is do. I'm freaked out about not knowing any of the teachers. I haven't even heard of them (**********/******). So I don't know what to expect. I hear all these horror stories about beyond the first semester.
  2. CSAB SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ok then, Anyway, Does anyone know anything about a Mrs *******?
  3. Hey you guys. Sorry for the lack of optimism, and thanks for the feedback. I will try to be a little less negative. I have to tell ya though, it makes me feel so much better to tell you guys my thoughts, and to listen to yours. Honestly only you guys and others in program truly understand what I am talking about. My family and friends try to be supportive, but I know they are getting sick of hearing about it. They probably think I am crazy, so it helps to know that you all know that I'm not (hahahahah), yet that is.
  4. Aw, so sorry your day went so bad. I had a patient that didn't want anything to do with me or anyone else. My nurse did not participate much, (not in a bad way, she was very nice). I was lucky and got a very self dependent patient, but I now feel unprepared for when I get a dependent patient. It seriously crossed my mind yesterday that maybe I am not cut out for this.
  5. It doesn't make sense that you can't copy and paste drug info. Obviously it is not something that you would know if you didn't look it up. There is no way to say medical words in your own words. Such as adverse effects, hemorrhage, dsypnea, othostatic hypotension. See what I mean, so it's stupid that you can't do it.
  6. I looked at the website from our drug book, I registered the code. After a while I finally figured out how to get the drug info stuff. Not all the drugs are on there, but the most common ones are. Pretty much all 11 cards that I did today were on there, and all I had to do was copy and paste.
  7. i have determined that i hate doing drug cards. i now understand how the whole care plan that we will be doing can take up to 8 hours. i am not scared of taking care of a patient, but i am so afraid of all this clinical paperwork, along with everything else we have to do every week. i also suck at the computer system, so i know i am going to have to ask a million questions, and eventually i'm gonna get on the nurses nerves or something. i tell you though, i am so relieved that i have our pharm instructor for clinicals, she is truly going to be a wonderful teacher. well i have to go do the second half of my drug cards, so you all have a great saturday. by the way i will probably do this all the time, even if no one is reading it. simply because i have no life any more, and this is about all the socializing that i have time for. so thank you all for letting the rest of us know that we are not alone.
  8. You better get right on that Carlos, hahaha. That resource quiz was so very easy, I wish they could all be like that. The biblio really isn't bad, 150 words goes quick.
  9. Got the two quizes for the week done, plus the biblio. There are so many things to stay on top of, its crazy.
  10. I am so happy I passed. I started shaking so bad, I could hardly document at the end. Congratulations to everyone..................:monkeydance:
  11. Good luck today, I hope we all pass with flying blood pressures....hahaha
  12. This APA stuff seems like it's a little out of control. I have gone through two english classes with pretty hard instuctors, yet never had a problem with citing things correctly. Since English is required to be admitted into the program, perhaps they should put a little more thought into the education that we are getting before hand. Basically, students are held responsible to educate themselves in areas where instructors fall short. That seems to be a pattern at Ivy Tech. Sorry to vent so much. My paper was not even marked that much. It just makes me mad. We all know how much work goes into getting into this program. To think that it can be yanked away because they changed the rules without our knowledge, makes me ill. Having to leave this program would literally be life altering for anyone of us. I would like to know the graduation rates myself. ANYWAY, I am glad things went well on your way home on Friday, it took me 2 hours and 20 minutes to arrive to my front door. On a fun note, I found the time to take my kids sledding yesterday; it was awesome, and I highly recommend it... HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND GO COLTS:yeah:
  13. Chris, I just went on there to print the week 3 notes and they opened fine for me. It is a pretty short powerpoint(Antiprotozoal Agents).
  14. Thanks Chris, I almost forgot about the dang quiz again. I just took it and got my first 10. I only wish my mind would let me forget the two test.
