Is there anyone else out there, or is it just me? :)
I'd love to connect with others who are applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program.
I am signed up to complete my prerequisites in the spring. English and Public Speaking are already done with an A, from a prior degree with Ivy Tech. They are also going to waive the IVY112 class because I am an Ivy Tech grad.
So I am signed up for APHY101, MATH123, PSYC101, and SOC111.
On one hand, I can't wait for classes to start! On the other hand, with the Holidays, I know the time is going to fly by.
About me: My degree is in Business Administration and my work history is mostly in accounting, but I've been home with our 3 boys for the past 16 years. We have homeschooled for the past seven years. They all went to public school this year, and they are doing GREAT! Now I need a new direction, as well... I've got maybe 30 years of working ahead of me, and I want to have a solid career. I hated being stuck at a desk. Nursing ~ here we go!
Oh jeez. You'd think they would keep some form of uniformity between the schools. I still think solid hunter green instead of one color top and one bottom would look so much classier. The fact that you said bowling team makes me laugh. My best friend's mother pointed out that we looked like nail tech's. Needless to say we burned the tops right after school was over.
BTW 37changes, do you recall how much the TEAS mastery app cost? I was just looking it up and see there is a 24 hr trial but didn't see a price :)
I want to say it was $14.99... Whatever it was, I think it was a GREAT investment. I used it for months & when I got really close to time, I "reset" the app and started going through things again.
Has anyone been accepted into the Terre Haute campus? I applied to Indy, Terre Haute, Bloomington, and Columbus. TH is the only one I have not seen anyone comment on yet.
Also wanted to jump in here after talking to my nursing advisor today she told me (at least at the Ft wayne campus) people are getting accepted with scores of 120/160 ! Obviously we know this is subject to change but any hopefuls out there! There's some info!!
I would hold tight! She was trying to tell me if I kept my old psych C and got a 124 total I'd be okay! (I don't want to keep my C anyway) but that's what she was saying!

I was told second-year nursing students wear all green. Is that how yours was, too?
I think it's funny the campuses are so different.
