Ivy Tech Fall 2017 Hopefuls

Is there anyone else out there, or is it just me? :)

I'd love to connect with others who are applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program.

I am signed up to complete my prerequisites in the spring. English and Public Speaking are already done with an A, from a prior degree with Ivy Tech. They are also going to waive the IVY112 class because I am an Ivy Tech grad.

So I am signed up for APHY101, MATH123, PSYC101, and SOC111.

On one hand, I can't wait for classes to start! On the other hand, with the Holidays, I know the time is going to fly by.

I have the TEAS study guide from Amazon (ATI TEAS Secrets Study Guide: TEAS 6 Complete Study Manual, Full-Length Practice Tests, Review Video Tutorials for the Test of Essential Academic Skills, Sixth Edition: 9781516703838: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com) and I am studying it and looking through the first practice test. So far, so good! Lots of info there to cover. Will keep me busy, for sure.

About me: My degree is in Business Administration and my work history is mostly in accounting, but I've been home with our 3 boys for the past 16 years. We have homeschooled for the past seven years. They all went to public school this year, and they are doing GREAT! Now I need a new direction, as well... I've got maybe 30 years of working ahead of me, and I want to have a solid career. I hated being stuck at a desk. Nursing ~ here we go!

When do we register for classes? Is it after orientation? Or is it just kind of automatically done for you?

I got in!!! ASN at the Southbend campus with a score of 125.. Im really glad :)

Not that I know of for Fort Wayne only, there is the one they've mentioned here for the program in general! That's all I know of though.

For anyone at the Fort Wayne campus going in, does anybody know for sure what color the scrubs are for the ASN program? I only took one pre-req class there and never really saw anybody wearing scrubs when I was there so I was wondering.

Hi All! So I have not received an acceptance letter. I do not have extremely high scores. I have one more attempt with the TEAS and can retake Psychology for an A in Fall 2017 and apply for Spring 2018. However, with 4 kiddos the fall program definitely works better with the kids' schedule. I also applied for the LPN program. Congratulations to all who made first round. I am a hopeful second round and pray to get into the ASN Fall 2017. I applied for Bloomington and Indy campus.

I am still waiting to see if I was selected for the second round too. My score is 128.01. If I am not selected for the Fall 2017 program, I will be doing the same thing and will retake my TEAS to reapply for the Spring 2018 program. I applied to Crown Point and Valparaiso. Only time will tell.
