Ivy Tech Fall 2017 Hopefuls
For those still waiting for the final emails for acceptance/denial, has anyone had issues staying in touch with their advisor? Mine mentioned coming into her office to discuss earning a certificate instead and since then, I can't seem to get ahold of her.

That gives me hope! I keep refreshing my email hoping to see an acceptance letter show up. Trying to stay busy in the mean time has been a challenge! Lol

I'm still hopeful for Crown Point and Valpo but after emailing my advisor about what my next step is, she suggested coming in to go over what classes I can take for the Fall semester and mentioned earning a certificate. I'm wondering if both programs have filled up for the Fall semester.

I took A&P 101 online and it went pretty well. Although, some parts were challenging without an instructor present to ask more questions for better understanding. I also didn't realize the "kit" that I had to order would contain specimens. Nothing like opening a box and finding a sheep brain and a cow eye! That was a bit of a surprise for me.

I haven't heard anything either. My application still says complete and ready for the selection process to begin. Not sure if that stays the same until you are accepted into the program or not. Still holding out until the last round! There's always the Spring 2018 program if it doesn't work out.

I am still waiting to see if I was selected for the second round too. My score is 128.01. If I am not selected for the Fall 2017 program, I will be doing the same thing and will retake my TEAS to reapply for the Spring 2018 program. I applied to Crown Point and Valparaiso. Only time will tell.

I was also able to finish and submit my application. Good luck to everyone!

The wait for the final grades to be posted is terrible! It's going to be a long summer waiting for word on who was accepted. I think I'm already driving my husband nuts! Lol

When I look in Blackboard, my grades are all posted but it only shows my midterm grade for math in MyIvy. It shows my MATH123 is still in progress. I've been checking nonstop since I finished the class but it hasn't changed. The reply from the Help Desk said they have until end of business today to post the grades and that the final grades should be pushed out of the system sometime tomorrow. That's really cutting everything close!

I created a Help Desk ticket this morning and it was resolved pretty quick. They said that I am ineligible because my MATH123 grade has not posted and that the instructor has until today to submit it. I was also told I could email them and request that he submit it so I can apply for Nursing.

I'm having the same issue with the application. My TEAS score finally pulled up on my application but it's still telling me I'm ineligible to apply. I'll be making phone calls this morning to try and figure out what is going on.

Hmm, I tried to refresh my application and I even restarted the entire thing and it still tells me that I am not eligible because I have no TEAS score on file. I spoke with someone from Ivy Tech and they told me to wait 24 hours since I just took my exam.

That is a fantastic score, blueberrypancakes! I just took my TEAS exam today and score a 78%. My combined score is 128/160 which is a little lower than I expected by it falls within the "Advanced" category so I'll take it! Does anyone know how fast the TEAS score populates in the system so I can finish my online application? Does it happen right away or does it take maybe 24 hours?

I've had this same trouble. I am scheduled to take mine tomorrow and will be submitting my application as soon as possible. Luckily, I am in a position where I can afford to be a stay-at-home mom but if my application isn't accepted because of taking the TEAS so late I'll be pretty bummed out. I am hoping that everything pulls through and I can make it into the Fall program.

Not to worry, 37changes, there is plenty of encouragement here! I haven't been able to get a response from my advisor so this thread has been helpful in more ways than one. I agree with what you said about the application information. If that is not the rule, why mention that at all? In the event that my application isn't complete in time for the Fall semester, I will just have to adjust and go from there. I wish there was more accurate communication and guidance for everyone though.
