Ivy Tech 'Fall 2010' Applicants

Published

Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....

Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?

I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.

And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!

inspired I sent you a PM.

Specializes in ER.

Thanks Cad2Nurse! Do you have any idea how many students each school accepts? For both the RN and LPN?

I am not sure of the current numbers. I do know that the numbers are down from where they had been. Lack o instructors is what I heard.

Hi, I contacted someone at the Lawrence or Madison campus, I'm sorry I cannot remember which one and they said that they only had 5 ASN spots!!! Ughh, I can't remember which one though, sorry, Keep trying to call!!! If you live close enough go by there!

That stinks, WannaBe! You can't remember which one at all? Are any of you ladies at Madison or Lawrence?

On a good note, I took my ANP 101 midterm today and aced it, woohoo! Unless I completely fail the final, I should have no problem getting an A in there, yay!

Wow only 5 ASN spots?!?!? That really sucks :(

That's great tara!! I bet it feels good to see all your hard working paying off :)

It must have been Madison that said only 5 ASN spots, because I called the one closest to Sellersburg.....

Lawrence has 60 ASN spots and 60 LPN spots per semester.

Biz,

It definitely does!

How are the rest of you ladies (and gents if any are lurking) doing in your classes? I have a lecture exam in the morning in 102 that I've barely studied for since I've been working so hard on the 101 stuff. Luckily, it seems to sink in pretty well in that class since I'm taking it in person. The instructor is awesome and really knowledgeable.

Do you guys know of any 101 lectures to view on youtube or somewhere? I've watched some from M. Diamond (a prof at Berkley), but I didn't know if there were any specific ones anyone could recommend.

I think Richmond has 40 and 40. Last I heard Lawrenceburg had 10. Might have changed in the last few weeks. I am going to Richmond because the odds are better to get in there.

Anyone else applying in Evansville? I don't think i'll be able to wait until June to find out, I am flipping out already, i turned in my applications last Friday, but now I wonder if I put everything they need in with the applications, I am almost certain that I did..but still..ya know..there is always some doubt....ughhh....I hope I have a chance to get in this go round!!!

WannaBe, I'm applying in Evansville! You're the first person I've seen on here who is applying there at the same time as I am. Actually, you're only the third or fourth person I've seen on here who is at that campus.

Have you applied before? I haven't turned in my app yet. I'm retaking the TEAS because I want to get a higher score, mainly because I don't get those extra 3 pts so I need to do what I can.

I'm nervous and excited. Did you apply for both RN and LPN?
