Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....
Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?
I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.

I am applying for both... I don't know what the past fall scores were do you?? I wish they would let us know, it would kind of give us all a clue as to if we have a chance or not!!! I did not do that great on the teas, I took it twice and I'm not taking it again!! LOL
I'm applying for both, too. I have absolutely NO CLUE what the past scores were. There were two or three ladies on here that applied for either Fall 09 or Spring 10 that were accepted and I think their scores were 206 and 212. Also, one of them wrote that she thought the cut off score for the previous semester (either spring 09 or fall 09) was 202 (203?) for RN.
I did okay on the TEAS, but I want to attempt it again to see if I do better since I won't get those extra points. What is your score? If I get A's in the two classes I'm taking now(which I see happening), I will have a 203. That's with the TEAS score that I currently have. I'm hoping to raise that with my next attempt.
I'm really nervous and ready for this semester to be over so I know if I got accepted or not!
I have A's in all of my classes except for Psych which I am retaking right now to get my A, With my teas and all A's and the 3 points I will have 204... I really hope that that is good enough... If I don't get that A, I know that I won't get in the ASN, but I wonder what the LPN cut offs have been...I just want to do something!!
I know exactly what you mean! That's why I'm applying to both because I want to get in and get some classes, at least. Do you know anyone else who is applying to Evansville for Fall 10?
I'm retaking aphy 101 right now because I didn't get an A in it and it's going well. I took it online and really wish I had taken it f2f. I'm taking 102 f2f with P.P. (can I put initials?) and I really, really like her class. She's one smart cookie and knows her stuff up, down, and sideways. Have you taken your classes online or f2f?
I am retaking Psych online, I took my A&P's face to face, and I know who you are talking about, I had her in my 102 lab.... I would think that A&P online would be really hard!! Are you taking any other classes this semester? I am taking chemistry at the campus, and after chem I will only need Micro...but If i don't get in the ASN program I will then need to take College algebra..I took Math concepts last semester before I found out that they are changing the requirement to college algebra after this fall... I hate that I may have taken a class for no reason!!! I really hope to get in this fall but with my score it is kind of iffy..... I would hope that our scores will get us in LPN if we don't get in the ASN... I just wonder HOW many people are applying!! They are oh so secretive in the nursing department...
I'm taking Chemistry online and I'm enjoying it. The instructor is very straightforward and we have no DB's, which is a definite plus! I still need Micro and Math and I'm taking one or the other this summer. I'll probably take Math so that I won't have to take the other class at a later date. The other I will take during the summer between nursing sessions (WHEN I get in, not if ).
I think your score is fine and I'm sure you'll get in with a 204! I wish we knew more, too. I don't know how other people get all this information from other campus's. I'm always out of the loop. ;-)
101 online was pretty hard, mainly because you have to read the ENTIRE book and know your stuff. I took it in the fall and didn't do as well as I could have, mainly because I thought I could get by with my usual moves (skimming, 'natural knowledge' rofl) and it didn't work. This semester I'm studying (which I've never really done before) and I'm doing great, which makes me happy because I don't like not doing well. I was pretty ticked off at myself after last semester, so I'm determined to make up for it.

Chemistry is not as hard as I thought it would be!!! I have heard that micro is hard though, and If i have to take college algebra I will not be happy!!
I have heard that it is easier to get in the spring than the fall....???!!!
Good luck in your Anatomy classes, yeah, you can't get by in that class without studying!!!
Just curious, what is this about them switching to Math 136 as a co-req instead of 118? I had not heard that at all (it doesn't matter for me since I'm already in the program) but it seems like it will be hard for a lot of people to pass that class. I know a LOT of people don't like math LOL.
