My pockets contain - penlight, dry erase marker, shears, hemostat, alcohol wipes, flushes, one yellow higlighter, at least two black pens, and several blue caps for my intermittent lines... a roll of tape is on my ID badge holder.

Steth too, of course, but I usually hang it on my computer once my assessments are done.

I work 7p to 7a. Permanent marker, black pen, mountain dew and popcorn for around 3:00 a.m.

A black pen or two, some good shoes, my stethoscope, my ID, handful of alcohol swabs (they always seem to make it home with me), and of course a good cup of coffee!

A Coke Zero AND a Diet Dr. Pepper, tape by the miles, stethoscope, lexicomp on computer or iPhone and lots and lots of pens!

I work 3-11... water bottle (no coffee or I won't be able to sleep when I get home!), black and red pens, yellow highlighter, black sharpie, alcohol swabs, bandage scissors, and my chapstick.

COFFEE!!!!! Also, but not nearly as important, LOL: Steth, scissors, pen, and febreeze (travel size)

ETA: Gum or mints, too -- hate coffee breath!

Specializes in SICU.

1.COFFEEEEEE!!!!!

2.Steth

3.Sharpie/whiteboard marker and i HAVE to have Pentel R.S.V.P Pens or my whole shift goes wrong =)

4. Flushes,alco wipes, hemostats/scissors

Water, pen, stethoscope, scissors, chaptick, hair clip, tape, alcohol swaps

If I walk out the door to head in and do not have coffee in hand, steth around my neck, trauma shears and tape attached to me by hemostat, and chapstick, pen, and small notepad in my pocket, I feel like something is wrong with the force.

Once I get to work, add some saline flushes, alcohol swabs, and tele prints to the other pocket, and I'm ready to go
