Shrugs

Your point might be taken seriously if I had ever complimented Trump for reading a teleprompter in the way you just did Biden.

Are you catching Biden's remarks, right now?

I wouldn't go as far to say he's sounding like he's in a demented state.  But he does sound like a feeble, rambling, old man

"Complimented" ... sure ...  every comparison of Biden and Trump is complimentary of Biden by nature.  This violence in Israel and the responses of the two men is just another example.

It's widespread suspicion.  Google it.

She already said she looked for it and couldn't find it.  Why be a **** about it and help us out here?

They way Trump babbles on for hours on end, you think he uses a teleprompter?

To me it's a lame criticism anyway because prior to teleprompters there hasn't been many a politician that would walk up to the podium without notes in front of them and make such an important speech that was broadcast to much of the world.  It's not Biden is unique in having a prompter and speech writers.

I was being funny, well trying, in light of a recent discussion where one said "Google it".

Obviously,  it wasn't widespread news.  And, the poster later told us as much as it was just his suspicion.

Still, my bad.

I wasnt criticizing Biden.  It was more a criticism of the idea that Biden must not be in cognitive decline as he was able to read the teleprompter.

Israel has a 50 year history of displacement, but they've outdone themselves this time.

Israel's military told the United Nations late Thursday that all of northern Gaza's population needs to evacuate to the southern portion of the enclave, a U.N. spokesman said. The Israeli order gave 24 hours for more than 1 million people, nearly half of Gaza's population, to evacuate. The Israeli order applied to all U.N. staff and those sheltered in U.N. facilities — including schools, health centers and clinics.

You said he sounded like a feeble rambling old man which doesn't sound like you thought he was able to read the teleprompter anyway.  To me he sounded like Biden.   I won't say necessarily that he was rambling but I do have to agree he's an old guy and sounds like one.

Even though you didn't change the topic like that I'll let it go and stick to the topic after this.  Thanks for the clarification.

I apologize for that reaction.  I was just looking at it and thinking the same thing that you were being funny going back to that recent discussion and was going to apologize.  Not sure why I didn't catch that at first, but I did work a 13 hour shift and my brain must have been garbled and triggered.  Sorry.

Speaking of Russia

Quote

Moscow did not openly condemn the violence meted out on Israel last weekend by Palestinian militant group Hamas, which is backed by its ally Iran, but was wary to alienate its Israeli partners too. Instead, its foreign ministry called on all sides to renounce violence, exercise restraint and implement a cease-fire, warning of a potentially very dangerous escalation.

Russia stands to benefit from turmoil in a number of ways, analysts say, given the distraction from its own war in Ukraine, oil exporting status and potential to mediate between disparate parties in the region.

But it could also easily be dragged into a potentially extremely deadly, wider conflict that forces it to pick sides and sees its influence, interests and assets damaged in the Middle East.

Ah, yes you are right.  I did say that.  TMB complimented one speech. Then there was a second one, in which I did say what I did about him.

While some express concern about Biden, the GOP presidential frontrunner manages to earn the criticism of Israel and other Republicans for his "unhinged" comments on the violence.

Quote

Trump, a former Republican president who is the frontrunner to become the party's 2024 presidential nominee, called the Lebanese Hezbollah, a sworn enemy of Israel, "very smart" and accused Netanyahu of being "not prepared" for the Hamas attack, which also killed 22 Americans.

Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi said Trump's comments to supporters and in a television interview on Wednesday night showed he could not be relied on.

It is "shameful that a man like that, a former U.S. president, abets propaganda and disseminates things that wound the spirit of Israel's fighters and its citizens," Karhi told Israel's Channel 13.

White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates called Trump's comments "dangerous and unhinged."

Fortunately, the current US president is viewed by our allies as stable, reliable and honorable as the world fights against right wing extremist terror groups and governments.

Was this where you were referencing your generalized opinion of a Biden speech, without bothering to link to the content or provide any contextual relationship to the topic at hand? I mean, we all know that you think that Biden is feeble and rambling as you share that opinion regularly.  It's always odd and interesting that those standards for concern always seem to miss the rambling incoherent words salad of Trump.

If you could just provide some actual evidence, in relationship to this particular violence in Israel and Biden's remarks, that actually support your opinion. Did Biden say that the terrorists were smart while he criticized Netanyahu or was that Trump, the GOP presidential frontrunner? Did Biden manage to somehow sound less informed or ramble more than Trump when talking about Israel and Hamas? Show me.  Show the thread.

If you want to compare, let's compare something besides our opinions.  Let's compare the actual words of the two men relative to Palestine and Israel.
