Cool thanks! Imma take it now!
If you are willing to float you will at least be exposed to different areas. When I worked nights we didn't have an official float pool but I always volunteered.
I can't say I found the area I was best for.....kind of a jack of all trades...master of none...my "best" area is out patient surgery...no nights, no weekends, no holidays í ½í¸„.

I have to say this predicted nothing like what I love(d) and do (did).
I vote for the answer that says, "Life."
You can't predict what will come up and grab your attention. I had no idea what was in store for me. Keep your peripheral vision open-- you never know what's out there off the path you tread.
Here's mine. I think I took this before actually. Well, I do have a BA is Psych, so...

Part of the equation is you.
How adaptable are you? How much autonomy do you like? Are you very particular about the schedule you work (no nights, weekends, holidays or on call)? If where you want to end up requires experience in a certain area or going back to school, are you willing? If there is a lot of competition for the nursing area you want, are you willing to move for a job?

Interesting, my top rec was CNM, with secondaries in flight/transport, plastic surgery, and domestic violence.
I'm curious to know how they score those things.

Hi! I'm just wondering if anybody knows of a test that helps nurses ascertain which areas of nursing they are best suited for? I have a couple years of experience in Med Surg and LTC behind me. I don't know if either one is right for me in the long run, these are the areas where I have been able to obtain employment. Don't know what to plan toward/ where to go from here! I appreciate any help
