Hi!
Was hoping someone could tell me whether or not DocuCare and Prep U were of any real help? I'm in med surg and my program wants us to purchase it. I'm financially challenged right now, and wanted to know if it Really made a difference. Thanks for your advice!

I found Prep U to be helpful. We were forced to buy DocuCare and I didn't use it once - no time for it! I feel like I learned all those skills in clinical, anyway.

Prep u is a good study tool, it helped me to do practice questions on the content before test. Docucare I used to document my clinical patients info each week. The professor would go in and grade our nursing notes and care plans for our patients that we had for clinical. (I didn't see the purpose because we had to document at clinical in the hospital computer, it was like doing double the work for us)

I just started using PrepU, and so far so good. I definitely think it'll be helpful.

We were required to buy PrepU, and while I griped about having to spend more $$ at first, I think it's definitely been helpful! We have assignments that require us to get to a certain level for one of my classes, but I also use it to answer questions related to whatever subject we're on in Med-Surg in order to have more exposure/practice for upcoming tests. It's definitely a good resource and has helped to keep me on my toes!

I LOVE Prep U. My professors actually take some questions from the Prep U test bank, so I've seen familiar questions on tests before. Even without that added bonus, it really gets you in the habit of answering NCLEX-style questions so you are more prepared for exams.
