What Kind Of Stethoscope Would You Recommend Investing In For Ns? I Am Willing To Purchase An Expensive One Only If It Is Worth It. I've Been Looking At The Littman Stethoscopes. I Think It Was Called "master Cardiology".
I have both a Littman classic II s.e. and an Ultrascope. The ultrascope was a gift from my parents for getting into nursing school..during my first semester, I couldn't hear anything with it, and then the diaphragm broke and had to be replaced. I was not impressed. I replaced it with my Littman while my original steth was out of commission, and I was amazed at what I was missing. Definitely reccommend the Littman over the ultrascope..though I'll probably take my Ultrascope on my peds rotation next semester, I think the kids will like the colorful head, and now that it's fixed I can hear a lot better with it.
i purchased a littman cardio iii from steeles.com, the littman because i want every advantage to help with nursing school and steeles.com because they will engrave the diaphragm to help prevent it from walking. actually was able to fit my full name with middle initial. i also purchased a dog tag online for it and the engraved littman tag. plus, it is in plum, so might be able to hold onto it. hopefully with all this it will not walk.
I just purchased the Littman Classic II S.E
I had spent a few months asking around what others had found "the best steath" was for a new RN Student.
It was under $100 with shipping and my engraving.
I purchased it from allheart.com because they had the best price.
Now my mom wants to buy her receptionist (she is in my same 1st semester class) the same one as a congratulations gift.
