Investing In A Good Stethoscope

What Kind Of Stethoscope Would You Recommend Investing In For Ns? I Am Willing To Purchase An Expensive One Only If It Is Worth It. I've Been Looking At The Littman Stethoscopes. I Think It Was Called "master Cardiology".

I just ordered the Littman Classic II (breast cancer edition). I was going back and forth between the cardiology III and the classic II. My mom, a 29 year veteran of nursing has the cardiology III, but we decided that for the price the class II will do. It was less than half the price and had outstanding reviews. If I feel like I am missing out with the classic II, I will buy the cardio III, but something tells me it will be just fine.

The classic II SE is a really nice scope. I did the same thing, the only reason I went for my Cardio III is because I plan on going into ICU, and figured I might as well use the same steth from start to finish.

I have a Welch Allyn Professional Steth and it is just as good as the Littmann. Littmann has just become a brand name like Coke !

A buddy gave me a Welch Allyn Professional, and personally I find it to be a bit more sensitive then my Littmann Classic SE II...My :twocents:.

I have the Littmann Classic SE II and I hear 100000% times better on that then the $25 sprauge type steths that came w/ our kit. I ordered my in BRIGHT orange and had my name engraved on it. I figured it'd be harder for it to walk away that way then if it was black lol. So far it's working though because everyone in the lab knows it's mine if I happen to leave it on a table.

Have you seen these ID tags for your scopes? My husband found this posted at a law enforcement Phlebotomy Class and told me to get one! I thought they were pretty unique looking and if you get a black scope you can still add a little flare! ;)

oops forgot the link http://idmyscope.com/
