Hi from Philly burb!
Been in healthcare since 1973, 21 years as RN still passionate about nursing--learn something new almost every day.
Totally addicted to nursing and this BB. Have volunteeritis so now voluntarily co-administer the BB with Rustyhammer (New Mexico) and Brian.
Waiting to hear from our PA colleagues....
Hello from Western PA. I work in small community hospital as a Quality and Education Coodinator. I oversee orientation of new staff member of all disciplines and am currently helping prepare everyone for JCAHO visit next year. I have been in nursing 22yrs mostly open heart and cath lab. Nursing has served me well over the years especially while raising my 3 children. I am very proud of our profession.
I would love to hear from anyone who has done preparation for JCAHO as this is my first experience other than as a staff nurse.
Hello everyone. I'm a 28 year old second year nursing student, (I'll have my ADN in May2004 WOO HOO) I'm thinking about continuing on for my BSN. I work in a local hospital for about 2 years as an tech on a Med/Surg floor! Just wanted to say HI, and if anyone has any info on where to apply for a graduate nurse position in the Pittsburgh area I would really appreciate it!!
Nursing student living in the Philly burbs (lovely Narberth). Grateful for this bulletin board b/c the experienced nurses here have been so kind to us enthusiastic newbies. Haven't narrowed down to a specialty yet. While ER nursing sounds great, OR, CCU, Med-Surg, etc., etc. sound good too.

Hi! I live in little Adams County and work in York County at a small hospital. I do Ob. Overall, I love it though of course there are ups and downs. I am hooked on the Ob forum. I am 38 years old and have 3 daughters. I am thinking about a master's program in ob or nursing ed. I'd like to hear anyone's thoughts about/experiences with online programs or York College. Glad to meet you all.
