Hi everyone! I just thought I'd start the new State forums off with an introduction thread. Please feel free to reply to this thread if you wish. Otherwise, feel free to start a new topic if you wish to discuss other topics that are local or state related. Enjoy!
PlanetCaroline- I grew up in Narberth. I miss it a lot!
I don't live too far though, only about 5 miles (Del Co). Been a RN for 3 years now. Currently doing pediatric home care. Taking a Periop class in the Fall. Anyone out there do periop in Philly area?
I think the state forum was a great idea! Thanks Brian!:)
imenid37, I live in york county and am currently thinking about going back for my master's online. A friend of mine is getting her degree through Graceland University and I am looking at the University of Phoenix. The University of Phoenix offers either a MSN or a MHA (health administration). The University of Graceland offers specialities, like nurse practioner or clinical nurse specialist. Good luck in your pursuits. :)
Hi everyone. I'm new to the board. I work in a southwestern Pa hospital in the operating room. I graduated nursing school in '91 & worked on a medical/surgical floor then got into the operating room in 96. I like it there but feel I need a change. I'm thinking of becoming a traveling nurse. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Hello! I am Laura an LPN in an extended care facility in western pa.I really like what I do and have been doing this for 9 years now. Man does time fly. I have learned alot along the way from older nurses and from my own experience. Good luck to all the pn students...it's scary sometimes, but so worth it!!

Hi I graduated University of DE in May 2003 and passed my boards in July. I'm moving to Philly (Manayunk) in 2 days and am still in the job searching process. I have interviews at a couple places, but the one place I have my heart set on I have not heard back from. I'm new to the board here so it is nice to meet everyone!
