Hi, I have 2 months left of school and I will be able to sit for NCLEX, it feels like its been a long journey @ times & then a short one @ others. However, I'm just proud to say I've made it to this point. It definently is do able if you want it. :D

Hi everyone. I'm 18 and a freshmen BNS student. I know I have a long way to go but I'm really excited to finally be studying things that interest me. My winter break ends after this week and I honestly can not wait to go back to school! My college is different from many others (or so i've heard), there is not really a pre-nursing thing for the first two years. You don't have to reapply to the nursing program, just keep your gpa up. Clinicals beging in the second semester of sophmore year and I'm begining my first nursing class (nursing 201) this up coming semester. I'm also in a 5yr nurse practitioner program here! I'm so happy to be a nursing major =D

Specializes in Cardiology, LTC, SANE.

I'm a BSN student and just starting my nursing courses this week. I'm ready to go! :D

Specializes in L&D/Maternity nursing.

I am a MSN student starting my program next Tuesday! eep!

I just started my 3rd 8 weeks of Nursing classes. I hear most of the nursing programs are the same in that they make the tests harder than necessary. any ideas on what to study for the HESI tests? You have to make the Nursing program your #1 priority to get through it. Study hard!

Hi...I'm Melissa, 31 years old, first semester of a 4 semester program. I'm not yet married but live with my boyfriend and his two kids. I work full-time at a university in addition to school, so I'm very busy...or crazy!!! :chuckle

I'm Kathy, 37, mom to 4 [ages 16, 15, 13, & 7; oldest 3 are girls, youngest is a boy]. I'm finally going back to finish my pre-reqs for a BSN program. Including this

semester I have 6 credits left. So, God willing, this fall I will be an official nursing student!

Wow! This thread started in 2002!

I'm Brooke, 38 year old mom to four children ages 13, 8, 6 and 2. I have a BA in Elementary Ed and now I am going back to school to get an Associate's RN. I have just started my pre-reqs and co-reqs. I hope to apply to the Nursing Program in Spring 2010 and start in Summer 2010. I'm currently taking Human Biology and Human Development. Still need College Alg and A &P 1 as pre-reqs and Micro and A & P 2 as co-reqs.

I am really enjoying learning and using my brain again as I have been a stay at home mom for 8 years! My current classes are really interesting and I am so much more dedicated than when I was in college the first time as an 18 year old! :yeah:

I am a returning student. I have been out of school for about 5 yrs. I am still working on pre. requs. but I hope to be able to get on a list asap. After a year of being a waitress at Denny's I have a deffinite need to do something different with my life. I am so very excited to start in the fall. I was searching the internet finding everything I could about nursing. I am so happy to see there is something out there for all of my questions.

Hi everyone,

My name is Joy. I'm 38 and mother to just one - he's almost 6 and going into first grade this August.

I start the RN program at City College of SF in August. It has been a long wait to get in, but I'm totally ready and totally excited. I currently work at my son's old Montessori preschool - in the office, not with the kids. It's a low-stress job that will be flexible with my schedule.

I've been mostly lurking here, posting sometimes. The insight and advice I have gained, though, has been most valuable. This is a wonderful community, and I am glad to have found it.

My name is Melanie, mother of one, a toddler who will be two next month! I just turned 24 and I am returning to school (start the Nursing program in January) after earning my B.A. in an unrelated field. The last year I have been completing my pre and co-reqs and am very eager to get the program started in FIVE months!!!
