i have a question.. now if a pt is on droplet precaution, then what PPE is required? I know that gown and goggles / face shield are used when to avoid splashes or dressing drainages or trachs, but what if a nurse just wanted to listen to lung sounds and the patient was droplet... what would she wear?/.. im assuming, only gloves and mask? but what about the gown? is it needed?
