Interview tomorrow!
Very excited! I have a telephone interview in the morning, and then a face to face in the next couple weeks for an exciting nurse manager position. I've been a nurse for 10 years or so with 5 years being a charge nurse. Any tips, questions I should ask, etc. Thanks!!!

Research PICOT-Grand Canyon University
Help!! I am struggling with this PICOT question and want to do it on postpartum hemorrhage. Does this sound acceptable? In postpartum patients during the immediate postpartum period, is continuing IV pitocin for a period of 4 hours vs only giving an immediate pitocin bolus, more effective in decreasing postpartum hemorrhage? I feel like its too wordy, and actually isnt measurable. I really wanted to do it on something with pictocin and the labor process, but not struggling to find articles as well. Anyone have any help they could offer? Thanks so much!!!

Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews
Hi everyone! I have 4 classes left....FOUR! Im so glad to be in the last few months, but was wondering if it would be feasible, crazy, smart of me to double up any of these 4. I have leadership starting this coming Monday, patho, trends, and then the Capstone. What would you all recommend? Could any of these be taken together or would it just be better to do them separately. Any info on instructors for these last 4 would be amazing as well!!! Thanks to all!!

Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews
Hi everyone! Haven't posted here before, but wanted to say hello! I am about to take Spirituality in HC, but for some reason Statistics has fallen off as my next class. I did take a month off from school due to a few family issues, so maybe that is the problem. I had a horrific experience with my instructor last class and I'm so thankful to be out of that one and moving on now. Just a few questions for you seasoned GCU-ers. I've read that some can request an instructor in certain classes....please elaborate :) Is there a list someone could send me? Ive also seen tips of those who post their 2 initial DQ on Monday and then 2 responses for the next 3 days. This would have saved so much frustration so Ill be doing this in the next class. Any other tips you all might have? Anyone taking spirituality starting tomorrow? I may end up in the Statistics class, but I'm not sure if there would be an issue with taking that course before stats. Anyhow, glad to be here and thanks in advance!

Do foley bulbs work?
These are done every once in a while in our unit.....just from my experience with them....they progress to about 4cm, the bulb falls out, and they dont progress. I have seen them work, but only a few times. Very uncomfortable as well, but then again.....not much is regarding labor :)

Inpatient OB RNC...what to study???
I need some HELP. I know this is an older thread, but Ive been studying for the exam and I dont feel like Im getting anywhere. Maybe Im just getting bogged down in the info. I work in a level 3, so I take care of these patients all the time....its just understanding how they ask the question. I just had a couple of specific questions.....are there a certain number of items on the exam set or does it just cut off when you reach a certain number correctly, like it does when you take boards? Also, are they all multiple choice format, or have 3 or 4 answers, etc. I just like to know little details like this so I can mentally prepare myself. Thanks so much for your time!!! You can email me at [email protected] if youd like. Thanks!!

Inpatient OB RNC exam - am I qualified?
Im looking for study resources....Im taking it in April. I work in a High Risk unit and have almost 3 years experience, but I am very nervous. Ive heard that it is more difficult than boards as well. If anyone has the books from CCPR that youd like to sell or let me pay shipping for....id love to buy them. You can email me at [email protected] -- Im great at interpreting strips, but when it comes to lab values....things get a little shady sometimes....so Im studying like crazy. Any tips would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

RNC-OB....what book do I need??? Help!!
Im planning on taking my certification soon and need to know which book I should dive into :) I want to pass this thing the first go-around!! I would just like a book with the info needed as well as practice questions that are similar to those on the exam. I have NO idea of what to expect......is it somewhat like boards? Ive also heard that the questions are alot like the questions in the Perinatal Nursing book by Rice. Is this true? Any advice!!!!! Thanks!!!!
