For those of you just tuning in, please allow me to bring you up to speed:

I was terminated from Wrongway after 17 years two weeks and two days, am considering retirement, but also considering semi-retirement, working part time.

On Sunday I applied online for a position 7 1/2 miles from my rural home at a LTC facility, and on Monday I was offered a position.

I figure working eight 8 hour shifts per month will pay the bills without me having to deplete other financial reserves.

So begins a tentative nursing future with...

yesterday was my Joe Cocker day on my way to work. Everyday is usually Beatles mixed with Queen and Led Zepplin. Awesome music can make the day better. Young whippersnappers where I work like that new noise ?

Hoosier - and I'll bet you at times you turn the volume WAAAAY up there to sing aloud at the top of your lungs at the best parts

LOL, my son came home from High School one day and told me he liked the "new" group Queen, I just shook my head bc I was in kid in the 70's so of course knew the group wasn't new.

not sometimes, all the time! When windows down, I definitely get the looks. Not all of them good ?

I was actually thinking about the ancient Japanese ninja. I toured a palace and heard stories of the ninja. The were spies in the beginning and because of their stealth abilities many legends and folklore grew including their ability to walk on water and walls, turn themselves into animals and birds etc. They would walk very quietly right up next to a wall as not to be heard (either to spy or later as an assassin). LOL, you didn't look like you were being very quiet but then again I don't know about the nurse ninja rules.

Nurse ninja rules must be pretty relaxed. As I recall Davey Do failed at the ability to see through closed doors skills test.
