Nurses General Nursing

For those of you just tuning in, please allow me to bring you up to speed:

I was terminated from Wrongway after 17 years two weeks and two days, am considering retirement, but also considering semi-retirement, working part time.

On Sunday I applied online for a position 7 1/2 miles from my rural home at a LTC facility, and on Monday I was offered a position.

I figure working eight 8 hour shifts per month will pay the bills without me having to deplete other financial reserves.

So begins a tentative nursing future with...

As I mentioned before, I applied for this position through Indeed last Sunday evening, and Monday morning, Kal-El, the administrator of Incorrigible, telephoned me. We set up the initial interview that afternoon and it seemed everything was in the bag.

Kal-El said the business manager would contact me Tuesday to take care of some necessities, but I heard nothing. So I emailed Kal-El, documenting our meeting- pleasantries, work schedule, pay, etc.- and received no return communication.

I thought, "Uh-oh: Buyer's Remorse!"

But Kal-El telephoned me this afternoon and I have an appointment with the business manager scheduled for Friday morning.

I know I could have just kept you apprised of my hiring status, but that would have made it less interesting of an adventure...

wouldn't it...

Swellz?

Oh- and Hoosier.

Thank you, Kitiger, I am. And, basically, I'm okay with that.

The answer to the contest was either A or B, depending upon the situation. To those with whom I feel free, or feel I have a right, to express myself as I really am, the answer would be B.

However, with those who I cannot be myself, the answer would be A.

Are you sure, Daisy, it's not: "Clark has a striking resemblance to a clown"?
