Hey guys, haven't been on here much due to studying and working like crazy! I put my notice of resignation in at work and my last day is next wed so i hope that helps me out too! I'm REALLY stressing and struggling with A&P! So glad i took H&S first because i did so well i want to keep going- now i knwo why i quit the program every time i started with A&P!!! =)
I took the first practice test and got a 41% no biggy because i took it the first week i began studying and i didn't expect it to be all that great! Well i thought i was through with studying and took the second one and got a 54%!!! OMG!!! So I changed my testing date from June 30 (the first time) to July 30th, and now i STILL do not feel ready so i pushed it back to August 30th. Since i'm using a grant to pay for this i HAVE to take it by Sept. 30th. I just do not know what else to do!!!
Sorry to vent i'm just getting really stressed with all of this! I've used the content guide, i've gone through the textbook, i used SG101 notes, and YouTube lecture videos. I thought i prepared well but now i feel like i need to start over from scratch only i'm not sure what i can do differently!
Well, I moved mine 2 weeks out, Friday after next. I had Lasik surgery this past Friday and I can see (it's awesome!!!), but my eyes are still healing. Reading causes my eyes to dry out faster, so I am using more auditory resources this week. http://itunes.apple.com/podcast/biology-2110-2120-anatomy/id290170401 and the StudyGroup101 study guides copied and pasted into Read Please 2003 (http://www.readplease.com/).
I knew I couldnt take a&p by exam so before i enrolled i took both 1 & 2 and micro at a community college... Worked out better for me. That might be an option for you. I even took a&p2 and micro online at the same time, got an A and B... I can say that the A&P coloring book really hepled me have you tried one... Whatever you decide quiting is not an option, if takes you a little longer so be, but most of us became LPN's with the intentions of becoming RN's...Chillax and breath...:)

Congrats on the LASIK! I had it in 2007, and it's been incredible. After 30+ years of glasses/contacts, my vision rocks. It's like going from a black-and-white TV to HDTV. You're smart to rest your eyes! Good luck on your exam.
good luck and let us know how you do! I felt sick before taking it, sick while taking it, and sick after taking it...the questions were very weird but i flagged alot of them to go back to, especially those i could narrow the answer down to two...and the ones i WAS for sure on, i answered and kept going! I was not confident about this exam either and i got a B so hopefully y ou will do much better than me! =)

I took the first A&P practice test tonight and made a 45. I'm glad to know I am not the only with an initial score like that. It's rather disheartening, at first. Then, for some reason, it made me kind of angry. ("OMG! Don't tell me I don't know this stuff! I deal with it for a living, am good at science & I'll show you! Bring it on, A&P!!!") My test date is Aug. 19th. I tend do well with a deadline. This lousy score and my test date should provide motivation.
This is my first Excelsior exam. It did not seem like I did not know the information, for a lot of it. It seems more like I was not used to sorting the info the way that asked for it. I'll get it. No doubt.
