Hey guys, haven't been on here much due to studying and working like crazy! I put my notice of resignation in at work and my last day is next wed so i hope that helps me out too! I'm REALLY stressing and struggling with A&P! So glad i took H&S first because i did so well i want to keep going- now i knwo why i quit the program every time i started with A&P!!! =)
I took the first practice test and got a 41% no biggy because i took it the first week i began studying and i didn't expect it to be all that great! Well i thought i was through with studying and took the second one and got a 54%!!! OMG!!! So I changed my testing date from June 30 (the first time) to July 30th, and now i STILL do not feel ready so i pushed it back to August 30th. Since i'm using a grant to pay for this i HAVE to take it by Sept. 30th. I just do not know what else to do!!!
Sorry to vent i'm just getting really stressed with all of this! I've used the content guide, i've gone through the textbook, i used SG101 notes, and YouTube lecture videos. I thought i prepared well but now i feel like i need to start over from scratch only i'm not sure what i can do differently!
let me ask....are y'alll EC or ISU? I signed up in nov '08 w/ college network (yeah, I know....). due to some family issues, I'm behind in my studies. anyone I have ever worked with, has done excelsior..which used to be regents. In looking over material & posts from on here it seems that EC is a lot more user friendly. I orginally was going for my BSN (LPN to BSN). with EC not being accepted in Virginia, and ISU is...(I am in NC & Va. is a compact state for me), therefore my reasoning.
If I recall correctly, EC has the BSN to RN program also...or is it just the ADN? not minimalizing ADN at all...(I may end up going w/ that as BSN seems maybe better gotten after my ADN). really wish that the BON rules were different (aka state acceptance). thanx for any help.
I'm with EC =) Enrolled in July and plan on being finished by the beginning of next year with all my exams except for the CPNE...They do have BSN and MSN programs...however, i'll be trying to do my ASN to MSN through Frontier School of Midwifery =) Good luck!

Virginia will allow EC grad RNs to endorse in with 960 hours of practice in another state. Just FYI. :) However, going directly to a BSN wouldn't be a bad idea!
