Hey guys, haven't been on here much due to studying and working like crazy! I put my notice of resignation in at work and my last day is next wed so i hope that helps me out too! I'm REALLY stressing and struggling with A&P! So glad i took H&S first because i did so well i want to keep going- now i knwo why i quit the program every time i started with A&P!!! =)
I took the first practice test and got a 41% no biggy because i took it the first week i began studying and i didn't expect it to be all that great! Well i thought i was through with studying and took the second one and got a 54%!!! OMG!!! So I changed my testing date from June 30 (the first time) to July 30th, and now i STILL do not feel ready so i pushed it back to August 30th. Since i'm using a grant to pay for this i HAVE to take it by Sept. 30th. I just do not know what else to do!!!
Sorry to vent i'm just getting really stressed with all of this! I've used the content guide, i've gone through the textbook, i used SG101 notes, and YouTube lecture videos. I thought i prepared well but now i feel like i need to start over from scratch only i'm not sure what i can do differently!

I did poorly on those practice exams -- I think the best I got was a 62. I got a B on the actual exam, and was very happy with that! It's a lot of material, plain and simple. A LOT. I think the exam was heavier on physiology, but also required that you know your anatomy.
Are you an audio learner? I know I am, and I probably would have gotten an A on the exam if I'd known about Dr. C's lectures before I tested: http://itunes.apple.com/podcast/biology-2110-2120-anatomy/id290170401

I just took the A&P exam. I scored low 50's on BOTH practice exams thru Excelsior, took the real exam and made a "B" so take it with a grain of salt and go sweat thru the test. you'll do ok:)
i know the anatomy part fairly well i think, but the physiology is really killing me...i'm so scared i won't pass the test! I dont care if it's a C i just want it behind me...hopefully another three weeks of studying and i can master this.
I wish i would have had an Ipod i'd download that but i don't have one , just a basic MP3 player is all i got! sigh...i'll relisten to those lectures from berkley on youtube and take notes off it and maybe that will help!
You can just download the MP3s, too -- doesn't have to be an iPod. :)

thanks luna as always you are the BESTEST! =) I think i feel a little bit better now!
No problem -- been there, done that! A&P was actually my first EC exam. Ugh! As Nurse Mo said, you'll probably do just fine. :)
thank you! =) yeah i started with A&P twice before, i think way back when you were first on the boards too...and i gave it up! Then i thought well just get H&S out of the way, blew that out with an A so figured okay i was just scared of A&P now i can knock this one out...and then OMG it's kickin by booty! =) just buckle down take the next 3 wks to get through the stuff i don't understand and just go suck it up and take the test!

you're not alone in your boat! I'm finding it somewhat difficult to retain all the info myself. I still need to buy the practice exams from EC, I'm sure that will be helpful. I bought info from studyguides101, but it did frustrate me a bit more as I now have like 150 pages of power points to add to my confusion, lol! maybe we could offer each other a hand......
sounds good to me! I'm going to look into those podcasts that lunah listed. I found some old chancellor's cassette tapes for A&P and i'm gonna try to listen to that too. I know it's sorta old but it's at least audio i can take in my care with me!

Im with you guys. I'm just now starting to pick back up my A&P study materials for the 3rd time. It's overwhelming....almost never ending. I'm gonna go ahead and pay for my exam this week and test in September for sure. I may do better about it if I know I have a dead line.
Good luck to you.
thanks good luck to you as well!!!
