Even if they didn't pay, I would still do it, because I think it's an incredibly important skill to learn, and I am happy to do my part. Plus, it's Planned Parenthood.
That's awesome. I know some of the PP employees volunteer as patient students, too. I think I would consider doing it but only with female students, just for my preference, but I think it's awesome that you are donating the proceeds :)

That's decent pay.
I'm pretty modest, I couldn't do. Fascinating post though @klone Thanks for sharing.

You are full of awesomeness. Between letting someone draw blood or letting someone practice with a speculum I think I'd choose the speculum!!!
Oh man, when I was in midwifery school, the couple of days we had with the pelvic models was INTENSE. I don't know if it was just that specific group of models, but they were the ones teaching us in addition to being the models. They were hyper-focused on teaching us the "right" way (which I'm sure was intended well but was really hard to deal with). You'd literally put your hand on the speculum, and they'd be like "Nope!!! You have to hold it THIS way!" "No, angle it 15 degrees to the LEFT!"
When you're bumbling with a spec for the first time it's a bit disconcerting. It seemed like a group of women who had had bad experiences with GYN exams and so were committed to ensuring the future generation of providers gave respectful care, which is wonderful, but it was such a nerve-wracking experience! You are awesome for volunteering for this, I'm sure you'll be a great model and teacher.

I volunteered to be a pelvic model for SANE nurses in training. My husband can't stop cracking jokes about my dubious modeling career.
