I'm Extremly Anxious Please Help!!

Published

:o I took the nclex-rn today and i want to say i'm pretty sure i failed. i'm not sure if my computer turned off at 112 or 115. i'm really nervous i havent heard of anyone who have passed at this #. all my friends have been getting 75 questions only!!!. i now that after 75 questions i started getting real nervous. when i left i started crying i feel like i guess the whole entire test. I'm praying, and trying to breathe!!!!. Has anyone passed between 112-115?????

I've honestly heard the most random numbers from people I know personally. Someone I know passed at around 126. Try not to lose sleep over the number thing. I actually heard that you can be sequestered for 265 questions at random... which is totally crazy. The person that told me this took it in 1998 though so rules may have changed. People get so caught up in the number thing and it just creates more anxiety... You completed it and did your best so I'm sure it will work out for you. everyone seems to feel the same way you do after they take the exam. Check out my 3 AM rant... I just wrote about this last night when I couldn't sleep over this ridiculous test.

The number of questions only refers to when the computer was satisfied which way to go with your score. As long as you get questions you still have a shot. You'll feel like you failed no matter how good you do because the computer's goal is to keep you at 50%.

Pass or fail is determined by the level the computer stayed at50%.

It's a very hard way to endure a test because you never get the feeling that you're doing well.

Good luck.

Its hard to say. I felt the same way you did after the exam. I dont even recall the number of questions i had when the computer turned off. I want to say it was between 105-115 not sure. What I kept thinking to myself was that, the harder the questions I was getting, the higher the chances I passed. My questions were hard and I felt stuck in every single one of them...but i ended up passing. Keep your chin up.

normal reactions after completing the exam. Good luck and try to relax

Like the previous poster said, normal reaction after taking the test. I took the Nclex back in June and passed with about 120 or so questions (lost track after awhile). I had diseases and meds I had never heard of and I was also terrified. Let us know how it turns out. I know its nervewracking.

Hello again and thank you for your support!!!. Does anyone know anyother way of finding out if you pass earlier than 48 Hours. I've been checking like crazy pearson and the Florida medical license search and nothing. I'm praying!!!!!!

:uhoh3:

I got 112 and failed. I'm not saying you did so don't despair!!! Afterall, everybody says the # of questions doesn't really determine whether you passed or failed.

Stay positive and don't base your results on other's experiences!

There is really no way to gauge whether or not you passed or failed by the number of questions. I have heard of those that passed at the maximum amount as well as odd numbers in between. I had a girlfriend that had to sit for all 265, for 5 hours. When she looked up, everyone else was gone. But, she passed. Good luck!

I tested a long time ago, in '00...but obviously what I studied wasn't enough. I haven't tested since because I was really discouraged. So now...7 yrs. later, I'm still trying to pick up the pieces and plan to test this December. Crazy, I know!! But I'm gonna do it this time and I will pass!

So if you pass, that is AWESOME!! and if not, try again, as soon as you can!!

OMG i cannot belive it I PASSED with 115 question i guess the number doesn't really matter. i'm so happy, i really think kaplan did help me, i wasn't getting 65% on their test. for those who still need to take it and are taking kaplan don't freak out i would get 50 and 60 and passed. I'M still in shock. I'M an RNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!
