Visa Screen Certificate / CGFNS
This question might be out of place...but here it goes. Does anybody know if Immigration officers at the US Embassy access ur file for the Visa Screen. (where they can see all the documents you submitted etc) Or do they just need to see that you actually have a Visa Screen Certificate? Any help...thanks

I know i read right, but just asking, see if anyone knows... all they need is a COPY of my high school diploma right? they dont need the originals, or any kind of Validation for like they do for the University. I sent that in with my photo...the status now is that they received the photo, but they still haven't posted that they received the HS diploma..and i'm wondering if they will take the copy that i sent...its just not updated on the status of my order and i'm starting to freak...maybe i didnt send the right info etc? any help?

Had orientation today for RN program...heard something disturbing.
i agree with sgmanda, you just never know the reasons people drop out. In our class we started out with 80 students. then lost about i wanna say 10-15 but as the semesters went by, we picked up other students that had failed in previous classes and came back to join OUR class, not to mention the Students that were already nurses (ADNs) and joined our class to finish up..so we ended up graduating 77 students. so its hard to tell the %s but like they said..faculty won't share this information... then, the class thats currently in their last semester at my school..pshh they lost more than half of the class...sooo really..don't worry about the percentages...focus on not being part of that statistic. :) i'm sure you will do fine. If i can do it, so can you. lol

Would you retake a class because of a B???
i dont know how ur school works...but in mine (i used to work for admissions) if you retake a course that you got a B in, and then you get a C (or even lower), they take the C (and use THAT for your cumulative GPA)since it was the retake. So you also have to think about the "what if I get a lower grade" instead of actually going up. just a thought.

Visa Screen
Thanks. i just really hope the school goes through with sending the form with the transcript...you just never know, especially since i used to work there, i know how these people are. Now, i dont need to take the English exam, cuz my schooling was in english, but the VS website still says waiting on scores, that should get cleared when they get the form stating that my school was in english right? i know i know, lots of questions..i just want to make sure i did it right. lol

Visa Screen
I just finished paying the fee for the VisaScreen a few minutes ago, I finally got everything mailed out this afternoon. Please pray for me that everything gets approved. Does CGFNS need to have a copy of my NCLEX test results?? I dont even have those...all i got in the mail was my license with a paper that said I passed, but no scores. I sent the request for validation of license to the BON so that should be enough no?

I'm Extremly Anxious Please Help!!
Its hard to say. I felt the same way you did after the exam. I dont even recall the number of questions i had when the computer turned off. I want to say it was between 105-115 not sure. What I kept thinking to myself was that, the harder the questions I was getting, the higher the chances I passed. My questions were hard and I felt stuck in every single one of them...but i ended up passing. Keep your chin up.

hesi test for entry in RN program
WOW! I must say i'm impressed!!! HESI was a requirement during the 2nd to the last semester of nursing school and it was taken as a quiz grade for one of our classes. Then, It was also a requirement during the Last semester of nursing school. at first we had 2 chances but since about more than half of the class failed, they opened up another test date and so we ended up having a total of 3 exams. NOW, THIS HESI exam at our school, was kind of like NCLEX. Priority questions, check all that apply questions, nothing like what you all have mentioned, no english grammar, anatomy etc. I'm talking NCLEX style questions. Delegation, Management of Care, etc etc. We had to score 850 in order to pass and graduate. If we didnt pass with 850 or higher we wouldn't graduate. We would be allowed to walk at graduation with the rest of our class but we still needed to come back for another semester to take a "remedial" course. You all are lucky! HESI was terrifying and traumatizing. :chair:

Bad first day of clinicals
some CNA's can have that attitude. I experienced the same, but i think its got to do with the fact that some of them are older CNAs and they see young nursing students going to school to have a higher position than them and it kinda throws them off, you know what i mean? Dont get me wrong though, some of them are VERY helpful. I also experienced having CNA's teach me things that RNs wouldn't at some hospitals. Keep your chin up

Not is school yet, but still need to vent....
you need to ask to speak to the supervisors...i used to work at the school admissions office close enough to registrar's also, and they would still issue out verification of enrollment letters..its possible, just tell them that you need it for your loan...alot of time ur dealing with workstudy students who really dont know much unless they've been working there for years to know how to handle things
