congratulations to you!!!!! now i am curious what does your job entail? what kind of facility do you work in?
it's a small, rural hospital (15 beds, an er) and a 100 - bed nursing home.
i will be working with users of the charting and medication administration systems, developing specifications for new systems, training, overseeing "superusers," documenting, etc.
i was a computer programmer in my previous incarnation. they were looking for a nurse with computer knowledge. we're apparently a rare breed.

a piece of advice - continue on-line for your rn. that helped me a lot. even though i don't have it yet it matters. and do a year of clinical, even passing meds in a nursing home.
and you'll do it. no question.
:)
thanks, everyone. i am so excited.

I got the job!
The money is excellent for up here, I get my own office, I work human hours with weekends off unless we have a system issue, and I am excited!
I start Friday!
I got my physical and peed in the cup so I'm good to go.
