So, if you considered nursing but had another dream career what would you have done????
I wanted to be a vet so badly but got a grant from my State for Nursing School! I took it..duh why not...been in healthcare since I was young! But I still long for a career in vet! (I have better results with pets and their owners than people some days! LOL!)
What was your dream job? And lets keep it to non nursing okay??? We all know about loving nursing...but what about other professions too???
I wanted / want to be lots of things....
#1 thing I ever wanted to be was an awesome stay at home mom.....got that down. :chuckle
Other things: NICU nurse, Labor & delivery nurse, photographer...mainly for babies & children - I'm just beginning to learn how to hand-color B&W or sepia photos, always wanted to own an upscale bridal salon, would have loved being a bridal gown dress designer. I always had the desire to be a lawyer too, eveyone says I should have been - but I'd get very frustrated and burned out very early on, I think. Preschool/Kindy teacher, librarian....
Would also love to be blessed with being a new mom again!
There's lots of things I'd like to do before my time here is up.
Fun question!
teacher; teaching it was i woul like to be.
in spain, we say the best job is:
1. the wage of a physician.
2. the work of a priest.
3. the hollidays of a teacher.
for me it does not matter the hollidays, i would really like to work as teacher, but there is not shortage in teaching.
if any of you knew a possible application for me please contact me.:)
I wanted to be a ballerina but failed the national audition.I always thought I'd work with bears or wolves.
The other fantasy job is wealthy man's mistress, just eat bonbons, go to couture shows, and ......
Oh, dear, trophy wife has become a thankless job since Viagra came out. No longer are you the adored child to be petted and indulged. The dynamic has changed completely and not for the better, at least from the trophy's viewpoint.
Maybe the dream would be better with a winning lottery ticket than a sugar daddy.
So, if you considered nursing but had another dream career what would you have done????
I wanted to be a school councelor. But I had the chance to take a CNA course at our facility and get a job immediately, and save up...then I had the chance to take the Medication Aide classes, so I've never really had the time to think about school until now. Maybe I'll finally take the counseling stuff.

hmmmm -that's interesting......
when I was in high school, I had a really good male friend who was Chinese - apparently his parents liked me because, according to my friend, if they didn't, they would have spoke to each other in Cantonese at the supper table, criticizing my table manners and I don't remember them ever doing that......
anyway, I moved to a big city to go to college and whenever my friend and his family were in town to visit family, they would invite me out to dinner with them and their family - it was usually my friend's immediate family, his grandmother and his uncle and his wife (who was not Chinese) - his grandmother would glare at me all through supper and if she did talk to me, she was quite curt and didn't call me by my name but by something in Cantonese - I thought it was a variation of my name but when I asked my friend, he looked all embarassed and said "Um, it means "Skinny Round Eye Girl" - I laughed but asked "Does she call your Aunt Vicky that too?" apparently she did for the first couple years that his aunt and uncle were married but gave up when Aunt Vicky showed no signs of leaving...........boy, I could sure handle being called "Skinny" in Cantonese now!! :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle
