Should I be a nurse: I am going to scream! How in the HE double hockey sticks are we supposed to know what is right for you?? I am sorry if I sound rude not my intent, but it just makes me wonder, do you have to have all your decisions made by another person if so you ARE going to have a hard time being a burse. I am a EMT and if I had to ask someone to do XYZ before I do what I know needs to be done, I would have a poor patient outcome. Sorry but this is getting old
Just saw another one...
"OMG...will I be able to get licensed" due to a disclosed/undisclosed issue that is clearly outlined on their states BON.
Good Lord...go read the dang BON website.
Do your own research..it's your career.
And ALWAYS disclose if your situation fits the criteria necessary...telling the truth is always the smart thing to do...with a BON...if you don't you just learned a very expensive lesson and wasted a lot of time.
my favorite is "I put in 3 applications and have waited 2 weeks and STILL haven't heard from anyone! ugh I'm so frustrated, I'm thinking about leaving nursing."
and "I can't find a job in my hometown so I'm moving to ____. do you think I'll be able to get a job there? what hospitals are around there? should I apply to other places to like LTC? I'm so excited about I'm moving to a place I haven't done any research about, and still will have no job prospects at, but I'm sure I will have no problem getting hired there!"
Nom nom nom!
Just a summary of some of the types of things I've seen
"I've failed 9 out of 10 tests with scores under a 50..eeeeeeeeeek!!!, can I still pass??????????????"
"I just don't get this problem...5mg tablet, and I need to give 10mg...can someome set that math up for me? I just don't wanna ask my teacher because they're like...the teacher"
"Should I report this??????? I was in my 1st week of clinical from 1st semester, and I saw a nurse only scrub her IV port for 29 seconds!"
"Should I report this??? Everyone says this guy is cheating because he only studied 2 hours and got a 98, he has to be cheating because I studied 9 hours everyday for 9 weeks from 9 books and 9 websites, and I used 9 old tests that were handed down to me...but I got a 42. Nursing school is out to get me and the teacher hates me!"
"I gave my pt an IM shot with a 14 guage needle that ended poking through the other side of his arm(I mean it's not my fault he weighed 80 lbs), my teacher failed me because she hates me...they never told me in school that the needle can only go in 1 side of the arm..UGH!!!! that needle thing is so confusing!!!!"
"Ummmmm why do we have to learn all this extra stuff, it's not like we're doctors!"
No offense...but some nursing students are some of the most immature ppl.
How about..."Gee, should I get a Flu shot? What do you all think?".....How about you look for the 2,000 other threads and 10,000 posts that were all posted about that say, in the last 2 weeks......ack!!!!!!!!!
I found 6-7 and left the links...for not being able to get them on the search bar, it took me about 2 seconds. And those were just the "flu shot" searches- there were many more :)

I realized that I had been at one hospital too long when the attendings had been the med students that we nurses taught to be docs!!
The comment about someone rolling their eyes kills me. A new RN on our unit was sitting at nurses station texting when asked to satrt an IV She replied Now or Later ?????
