Should I be a nurse: I am going to scream!:banghead: How in the HE double hockey sticks are we supposed to know what is right for you?? I am sorry if I sound rude not my intent, but it just makes me wonder, do you have to have all your decisions made by another person if so you ARE going to have a hard time being a burse. I am a EMT and if I had to ask someone to do XYZ before I do what I know needs to be done, I would have a poor patient outcome. Sorry but this is getting old

Why do nurses eat their young?

Because they are delicious!!!

Why are old nurses still allowed to work?

Because someone who knows what they are doing has to.

Plzzzzz help! Quick! My patient doesn't have a pulse and is a full code, do I start CPR now or should I wait for someone to help me. I'm a new nurse and we didn't have a code during my training! Please help quickly!

LOL, a few years ago something was going on with one of my patients and the family said, "are you going to call one of the residents?" I said, " No, I would never call anyone who knows less than I do!" :yeah:

Good idea, because when you do become a nursing dinosaur, you'll have money for retirement, cuz you sure won't get it from nursing! :D

Here's my fav though I haven't seen it for a while: So I'm like going to graduate with my BSN soon, and I'm totally bummed to find out that I won't be paid more than the ADN's!! We are the true professionals and need to be paid like we are!

I saw that almost word for word in our local paper and almost gagged. Love this thread!
