While there are many avenues to be found in nursing, there are no guarantees as to where you'll find employment. Suppose you find yourself needing to take a job in LTC, or in an acute hospital but a floor with not enough aides (which, btw, is not exactly a rarity). You'll be doing exactly what you are now, with the extra added attraction of having to assess, chart those assessments, get meds done on time, talk with the docs (once you track them down) and still seem like you're interested in what the family has to say.
So my answer is, if you're fed up now, becoming an RN will add a new dimension of frustration for you.

Being a CNA is not so bad. :] Most of the time I like my patients.
Sometimes I don't, and sometimes I don't really fancy my coworkers, either. That's okay.
Being a nurse would definitely have its challenges.
Personally, I think it would be better for me physically. The only problem I have with being a CNA is my small size- I have a hard time lifting the really heavy people, and I hate always having to ask for help.
So yes, it would be great not having to risk being squished like a bug every time I go transfer someone...

I am gonna say yes. It sounds like you have a lack of patience. Being an RN comes with more demands and more responsibility.

Yes. Get out of healthcare while you still can.

If you hate being a CNA, that's a pretty good indicator you will hate the job duties of a nurse. Patients' personalities don't necessarily change because your credentials have changed. You have kind patients and you have your stubborn patient(the latter is common, as well). But, it's 100x's worse once you bring in physician egos! Be wise of the time your invest into nursing school, and really take a general look at your current duties and multiply that by 10x!

Yes, I feel that you will hate being an RN if you hate being a CNA.
An RN does all duties of a CNA, with the addition of a mountain of responsibilities. As an RN, the buck stops with you, so there is nobody to defer to. I enjoyed working as a PCT during nursing school. Even then, I realized how much more an RN position involved. It was almost like the calm before the storm, looking back on it! LOL
Best wishes!

I was going to say no, because they are very different jobs. I was a tech and hated it, but don't hate nursing. But my reasons for hating tech work wasnt related to the patients the way yours are. In that case, I would say yes.....Unless you go into OR or something where you dont have as much direct pt interaction.
