I looked forward to being a nurse for so long....my second thoughts aren't because of nurses eating their own (I have never seen that!) or hours or mean docs (haven't seen that either)... it is because the only conservatives I have met are my fellow military vets.
The vast majority of nurses I have met (or been attacked by) have been liberals who treat me like I am insane because I am a conservative! Wow!
So....out of curiousity, how many conservatives are on this board???
I'm a straight up conservative but my sons have taught me to keep my opinions to myself unless I'm really sure of my audience! I do have a less conservative opinion or two which causes my son to say "Who are you and what have you done with my mother?"

:yeah:I am a conservative nurse! That is one reason why I choose to do my college learning online. It is better than heated debates in class getting everyone off topic!
Can't imagine why it would be an issue at work. I have no idea what the political opinions are of any of my coworkers, any more than I have any idea of what their religion is.
I am (for the most part) a socially conservative, fiscally liberal Democrat. :D:D
Actually, to my despair, I have been finding that as I get older, I have been having more conservative views than I would care to admit publicly! LOL! But I think d/t my core values, I will always be a Democrat.
I think every once in a while I would find myself on the conservative forum maybe because I might have a conservative opinion on a particular issue, but I'm sure I would almost always be scared off by the CUH-RAAZZZYYY Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, conspiracy theory types that seem to walk the fine line of radical and certifiable!! Politics and religion have no place at work, unless the staff are mature enough not to allow discussions to spiral out of control...which is very rare. It shouldn't matter what anyone's political leanings are, as long as everyone realises that we all have the right to disagree.
Bless the people who hold opposing views to yourself. A democracy can only be called a democracy if the ruling party can be voted out of power by supporters of the opposition. Keeps 'em on their toes if they know they can be out of a job next time around.
