I have been looking for a stethoscope with yellow tubing for ages. If anyone knows of a catalog where I can find one I would be greatful. I saw one on a British medical supply company website but I don't have a credit card and need to find a way to order one using a check. I also saw a yellow BP cuff and would like to have one of those too but would settle for just the stethoscope.

Uniform shops can order you whatever color you want. That is where I got mine. They had it in stock. But, I am sure they would gladly order for you.

Ultrascopes give you a choice of tubing color and head design. They are kinda $$, but interesting!!!

I havent started clinicals yet. But will need to buy one. I have been thinking of a way to identify what is mine.
I have heard thru the grapevine that there is a problem with nurses in local hospitals stealing (to the point of removing nametags) other nurses 'scopes.
I have been concered about this since it is an investment.

Repeat after me: My stethoscope will never leave my body.
Don't set it down, don't hang it on a doorknob, don't put it in a lab jacket and hang the jacket over a chair, and never, never, never let a doctor "borrow" your ears, no matter how much they whine. If you value your stethoscope, learn to say no.

Kyriaka, you can always have yours engraved on the metal part with your name
To put it simply, I am attracted to bright colors and shiny things. That and no one has a yellow stethoscope, I don't think I would ever have trouble identifying which one is mine and yellow is my favorite color.

I have a bright (and I mean bright) yellow pick-up truck (Nissan Frontier) and then I have added bright colored tye-dyed seat covers. I too love bright things!!! In my current job I don't use a stethoscope on a daily basis, but if I did, I too would want a bright yellow one! Go for it!

Now that's an idea...and how many people are walking around with my name??
On a side note, I think yellow is b'ful. It is sunny. It is happy.
