Somehow I'm not surprised they haven't started ranking yet. I wonder if I'll be able to squeeze in my transcript for this quarter (at Baker) to boost my MCC GPA :D

Hi all!

I'm in the same boat you are all in! Thank you mac212marco for filling us in on what they said about ranking!

I had to join this forum now because... the stress/anxiety/excitement is making me a nervous wreck! I was so happy to see everyone here feeling the same way I am.

I am wondering too, why they must drive us crazy with not knowing! I did hear that they send out the pre "this is your GPA/HESI" score letter. Thank goodness too because that would have been too much! LOL.

Has anyone heard from any good source about how many people this year will be ranked?

Thank you all for sharing your waiting stories, because it really is helping me to get through this! We have to stick together ;)

Good luck to you all! Now, if they could just speed up the process!

I went to a nursing seminar last week and the Academic Advisor told us there were 749 people who took the Hesi. Other than that not much other info that we didn't know already.

Thank you panky1! I was 1/2 expecting them to say there were even more people this year than ever. 749... you have some people being added to that total because they kept their older HESI and tried for a better GPA... and then you will have some that took the HESI, but were not "complete" as they call it. So that is cool. I have even been fretting about the number of people this year.

You went to the seminar? How many are they actually taking this year? I heard they were adding another section, but there are a lot of rumors about this program so who knows. I'm with you Michy, maybe there are 629 people that didn't "complete" the requirements. Then we're sure to get in!

lol...i keep saying maybe a lot of people have felonies and are ineligible to apply....lol. i was thinking there was at least 1000 applicants with the re-applicants. i think they stop ranking at around 750 because they figure what is the point with so few spots.

LOL Huskies and Shannonmarie! I love the way you both think! :chuckle

I do know that I went to a Nursing Seminar around the end of January 2009 regarding the Fall 2009 program. They will have 160 spots per the academic adviser who conducted it for the year 2009. Now if they are adding more after that... I have not heard that, so I can't say it's true. But, strait from the college, 160 this year! :yeah:

Now, I wish they said there was 749 ppl who took the HESI for Fall 2009, and their average HESI score was...... that would have been nice. LOL.

Same here... whatever they say I can start, I'm there! LOL.

But, in all honesty It would be nice to have the August start date. I'll have all my pre-reqs done and I'll just be sitting around twiddling my thumbs. Plus I'm laid off, so the sooner I get going the better.

I would like the October start date so that I can finish up the pre-reqs that are required to complete the BSN at Oakland. I want to take a few online classes so they will be done by the time I start the Nursing program. But...August, January, and March will be alright too. I just want to get in!
