I start my new job tomorrow!

Published

First clinical gig as an RN, in a rehab/LTC. I'll be on nights, skilled unit.

It looks like a nice facility. Good people, decent staffing, no smells, no people parked in the halls doing nothing. And privately owned. Who knew. They also have across-the-board raises in the works and little turnover.

Wish me luck! Maybe 4's a charm.

You'll do fine, Sue. There will be nights when it doesn't seem worth the struggle, but doggone it, LTC residents have a way of brightening things up just when you think you can't stand another second!! You can be having the worst shift in recorded history, and one of those dear old souls will give you a kiss, a hug, or an encouraging word, and you can live on it for weeks. I know.......happens to me all the time.:D

I'm glad your first day was good. We need all the LTC nurses we can get!!!:yeah:
