I inserted my first Foley into a patient without someone guiding me. I struck gold on the third try lol.

I felt so relieved and proud of myself. lol

Congratulations!!! It is quite exciting when you can actually apply what you have learned to actually doing it!!!

I had an LPN of almost a year ask me to change a male's foley because she had never done one. MUCH easier than on a female...LOL :lol2:

You 'struck gold', huh? LOL. When I read this I pictured the urine pouring out all over the place. Congrats!!!!!

I am one of that group too. Especially the patients who haven't had a BM in a couple days and they finally have one after I give them something to help them go. I get so happy and they are happy too because they feel so much better.
