Hey Tomato! How was the wedding? Congratulations!
Maybe give it the year and try to get back to a SN gig?
We are always here. Don't forget to wear pink on Wednesdays!
The wedding was lovely! Thanks for asking, we had a great time. I'm a married lady now!
So, in NJ as I may have mentioned before, requires a post grad SN certificate to work in a school here. Now that the wedding is over I have been seriously looking into programs in my area. Some schools will hire you if you are enrolled and working towards the certificate as well so I really think this will be the right move for me. I am paid very well for my current position but that is really the only perk and it truly isn't worth it anymore. Life is too short! I was a good SN and I really loved it.
I'll keep you guys posted about this new development. Thank you all so much for always listening.

Is the program long/expensive?
You are welcome to hang with us anytime!!!

Most of the programs are usually between 18 and 22 credits depending on what sort of classes you took as an undergrad. It's not terribly expensive either (this is where the "current job pays well" is a big perk!) and several universities that are relatively close to me offer it. I am going to look into it this weekend and see what the best option is for me.

I am not ignoring you folks. I check the threads regularly. I just never have time to provide the witty, brilliant and hilarious responses you all have come to expect from me
This assistant director gig is running me ragged. Not at ALL what was promised during my interview and nothing could have prepared me for this job. I'm feeling a little stuck and I am driving my new husband batty with all my crying about work.
I've been doing some reflecting and trying to remember the last time I was really happy with work. The answer was, obviously, when I was working in the school. It really was the most fulfilling job I've ever had and I miss it so much. And I miss you guys, the best coworkers ever.
I'm feeling blue. Thanks for reading.
